"Life is tough; nothing much has changed," you replied to your brother Jimin, who was currently studying in the U.K. to become a doctor. "Do you do party-party there? Or is it just the same old boring life?"

"Parties are sick, no kidding! I thought this would be a stressful time, but it's been the opposite. I like it here," Jimin responded. He was just like any other brother—protective, supportive, attentive—a chill, easy-going guy. Someone you held dearly.

"Am I going to get a foreign sister-in-law?" you teased him.

"Definitely not; they surely don't catch my eye," Jimin replied, just as someone called out to him in Korean. "Jimin, we want you, man!"

You leaned in, surprised. "Oppa, you got Korean dudes there?" you asked, your voice a bit louder than intended, catching the attention of people at nearby tables.

"Yeah, my roommate is a guy from Busan, but I gotta go now. I'll call you later." The call ended.

Wow, your brother was having the time of his life despite the grueling workload of med school, while you were here struggling in your own studies—a no-fun life.

"What'sup squirrel face". Did you say the no fun life certainly this guy just dug a hole for you to die.

"Go to hell, Mr. Star-Nosed Mole Jungkook," you shot back, leaving the table in a huff.

"What the—?"

"Come on, Y/n, it's not like I told you to propose to him! I just want you to tell him to meet me; you know how long I've been crushing on him!" Jisoo pleaded, her puppy eyes working their usual magic.

"Ugh, fine! You know he'll be there too, and I don't want to deal with him today. I'm already stressed." Taehyung was Jisoo's crush of over a year—they weren't friends, but their frequent interactions had stolen her heart.

"Worry not, sis; just do it fast and ignore that guy." Only if Jungkook didn't poke his nose too much into your life. You were genuinely happy for Jisoo, even if Taehyung was Jungkook's best friend; he didn't seem like the smug type.

As you made your way to the cafeteria, you spotted Jungkook and his friends at a table. "Just ignore him, fast and furious—you can do it," you muttered to yourself. A lot of eyes turned toward you as everyone noticed you heading toward Jungkook's table, waiting for some drama. He was your enemy, after all.

"What's a—" Jungkook began, but you quickly cut him off.

"Hey, Taehyung, mind if we speak alone?"

Jungkook looked oddly perplexed. "Why a—"

You interrupted him again. "Near the entrance, I'll be there. Umm, bye?"

"Sure," Taehyung replied, and you walked away, leaving Jungkook in confusion.

"Hyung, wh—" Jungkook started, but Taehyung shrugged it off. "Come on, Kook; she's your enemy, not mine."

"Why is everyone cutting me off?" Jungkook muttered, frustration lacing his voice.

"Did you call me here for Jisoo?" Taehyung asked, a warm smile spreading across his face as he leaned against the locker beside you, clearly eager to hear what you had to say.
