Jungkook sat across from his senior, Mr. Choi, trying to keep a polite smile on his face, though his leg bounced under the table. The older man was flipping through papers, his voice droning on about company goals and expectations.

Finally, Mr. Choi looked up, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose. "So, Jungkook, here's the deal. You're talented, no doubt. But we're not just looking for talent—we're looking for results."

Jungkook nodded, though he had no idea where this was going. "Of course, sir."

"To secure your position here permanently, you need to bring us an artist. Not just any artist. Someone fresh, someone with star power. Someone who can shake up the industry."

Jungkook blinked. "A fresh artist?"

"Yes. And not just a little good. We're talking headline-worthy," Mr. Choi added with a pointed look. "The kind of talent that makes people stop and listen. You have until the end of the quarter. That's two months."

Two months? Jungkook's stomach dropped. "Right. Got it."

"Good. I expect updates in a week." Mr. Choi stood, signaling the end of the meeting. Jungkook forced a tight-lipped smile and bowed, but inside, his mind was spiraling.

Jungkook stormed into the company cafeteria, his face set in a scowl. His friends, Jimin and Taehyung, were already seated, lazily poking at their food.

"Here he comes," Taehyung said, grinning. "The golden boy of the team."

Jungkook dropped his tray on the table with a loud clatter. "I'm doomed."

Jimin raised an eyebrow. "Doomed? What happened this time?"

Jungkook flopped into his seat, letting out an exaggerated groan. "My senior wants me to find the next 'it' artist in two months. Someone headline-worthy. Someone fresh. Do you know how hard that is?"

Taehyung leaned back in his chair, smirking. "So... basically, they want you to pull a genius out of thin air?"

"Exactly!" Jungkook threw his hands up. "And they make it sound so easy. Like, 'Oh, just go outside and pick a star off the talent tree.'"

Jimin snorted. "Well, maybe if you actually went outside instead of staying in your studio all day, you'd have better luck."

Jungkook shot him a glare. "Not helpful, Jimin."

Nearby, at a table just behind them, a pair of senior producers were talking over their coffee. Jungkook vaguely caught snippets of their conversation but was too frustrated to care.

"I still think about that girl," one of them said.

"Which one?"

"You know, the teenager who won that reality show a few years back. Y/N-something. She had real potential."

"Oh, yeah. She just disappeared, didn't she? Too bad. She could've been huge."

The other producer sighed. "Yeah, but you know how it is. People burn out, or something happens, and they're gone. It's a tough industry."
