"Damn, you were right, this chicken is really amazing," Jungkook exclaimed with a mouthful of food, nodding in agreement with Mingyu.

"Told you," Mingyu replied triumphantly, flashing you a smug grin that made you wonder if he had been plotting something all along.

"Well, guys, I need help. Which movie should I choose?" you interjected, trying to steer the conversation away from any hidden agendas.

"We'll start the movie later; the ramen is still cooking, so let's talk for now," Mingyu suggested, his smugness vanishing into a casual smile.

"Sounds good," Jungkook agreed, patting the spot on his mighty couch next to him, inviting you to join them.

As you all settled down, Mingyu in between both of you the conversation flowed easily. You discussed everything from favorite movies and music to travel destinations and hobbies, finding common ground and sharing laughs along the way. Mingyu and Jungkook's playful banter kept the atmosphere light and enjoyable.

"Dude, look at this girl. She's a beauty," Mingyu said, showing Jungkook a picture of a girl from Instagram. You shot Mingyu a side-eye, wondering what he was up to.

"Nah, she's fine," Jungkook replied, not looking interested.

"No way you wouldn't say this unless you have someone else in mind," Mingyu teased, glancing at you briefly.

This conversation piqued your interest. You wanted to know if there was someone special Jungkook was thinking about. You remembered seeing him smiling at his phone when you first saw him at the café.

"A-ahh, well, I do. For a long time now," Jungkook admitted, looking a bit shy.

He likes someone, and that's not me, you thought, feeling a pang of disappointment. When I finally like someone, it turns out he doesn't like me back. You knew it for sure because you'd only met Jungkook- almost a month ago, so it couldn't be you.

Looking back at them, you saw Mingyu giving you a sympathetic look. You quickly gave him an okay sign, not wanting to seem affected.

"Oh, where did you meet her?" Mingyu continued the conversation, feigning disinterest.

"At the old Bell Café. I met her there four months ago," Jungkook said, his eyes lighting up with excitement.

"She's really sweet, just my type," Jungkook continued, sounding more enthusiastic.

"Did you guys talk?" Mingyu asked.

"We did. I think I'll make her mine soon. I didn't believe in that until last month," Jungkook said with hope in his eyes.

"Well, all the best," you said with a weak smile, trying to be supportive despite your own feelings.

"Thank you, that means a—" Before Jungkook could finish, Mingyu abruptly stood up.

"Y/n, help me out. I think the ramen is ready. Jungkook, choose a movie," he said, dragging you from the living room.

Once you were in the kitchen, Mingyu turned to you with concern in his eyes. "Hey, you okay?"

You took a deep breath, trying to keep your emotions in check. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just... wasn't expecting that."

Mingyu placed a comforting hand on your shoulder. "I know it hurts, but you never know how things will turn out. Besides, there's someone out there who's perfect for you."

You nodded, appreciating his attempt to cheer you up. "Thanks, Mingyu. I guess I just need some time to process it."

Mingyu smiled warmly. "Take all the time you need. We're here for you, no matter what."
