"Y/n, you got a letter!" Jisoo came running with a letter in her hand, waving it excitedly.

Her scream made you turn and stand up. "Is it from them?!" you asked, feeling a surge of nervousness.

"I didn't even take a glance at it when the mailman gave it to me," Jisoo said excitedly, passing the note to you.

You grabbed the letter with shaky hands and exhaled, trying to calm your racing heart. "It's from them. Holy crap, it's from them."

"Yes, open it! It's going to be positive, I promise," Jisoo said, hugging you from the side.

Slowly opening the letter, the first thing you noticed was the heading written in big, colorful words: "Singing Idol." Taking a deep breath, your eyes traveled down to the content of the letter.

"Oh my god, I got accepted!" you screamed, and you and Jisoo started turning and jumping together, overwhelmed with tears.

"I promised," she said, hugging you tightly as more of your tears rained down.

Your dream was about to come true. It was actually happening. Growing up, the only thing that interested you was music—the only way you could connect to the world. It is your universal language.

Your dream is to make music, to keep singing, and 'Singing Idol' was the key to that pathway. It was a place where you could showcase your talent and open more doors to this career, where you could show others that you have the ability and gain their trust. Winning this show would be another level of the dream, but even just stepping onto this stage was a dream come true as itself.

"Hey, all the best. I'll keep visiting you. You're winning that cup no matter what," Jisoo said, pulling away.

"I'll miss you," you said, hugging her again.

Jisoo was your only family, your one and only cousin and best friend. Your parents died when you were 10, and from then on, Jisoo's parents looked after you. At seventeen, you have big dreams, and all of them support you very much.
