Jungkook was minding his own business, lost in his thoughts, when a series of screams —no, a very loud, ear-piercing scream—interrupted his thoughts and his division. He didn't need to turn around to know what was happening. The sound was all too familiar—Seoul University's heartthrob, Y/n, had just arrived.

The campus was abuzz with excitement as students rushed to catch a glimpse of her. Jungkook stayed seated, barely caring. He flipped through his notes with a practiced disinterest, the commotion barely affecting his concentration.

But when the kids in his class started screaming, he knew she was here. The unmistakable sound of exhilarated shouts and the frantic energy that followed could only mean one thing.

Jungkook sighed, setting his notes with a resigned air.Y/n's presence had a way of commanding attention, whether he wanted it or not.

The door to the classroom creaked open, and Y/n walked in, her radiant smile instantly drawing the gaze of every student present. She navigated through the room with effortless grace, her eyes scanning until they met Jungkook's.

Without missing a beat, Y/n made her way to him, her smile widening as she approached. The class, momentarily distracted from their studies, watched in awe.

Y/n settled into the seat next to Jungkook, her eyes glinting with playful mischief. "Miss me, Jungkook?" she asked with a slight smirk, leaning in a little closer.

Jungkook barely glanced up from his notes, his tone as cold and monotone as ever. "No."

The response was predictable—a daily scenario that Y/n had grown used to. Yet, despite the chilly reception, she wasn't deterred. She enjoyed pushing through his indifferent exterior, finding warmth in the moments he allowed himself to show.

"Fair enough," Y/n said, unfazed. "I'll just have to work harder then."

Jungkook's lips twitched slightly, though his expression remained stoic. "Work harder? For what?"

"To make you smile," Y/n replied, her voice softening just a bit. "Or at least to make you acknowledge me without that ice-cold tone."

Jungkook finally looked at her, a flicker of something unreadable in his eyes. "Never," he said flatly.

Y/n's smile remained, undeterred by his response. "We'll see. Meet me at the garden at 2? I have something important to say."

With that, Y/n stood up and made her way out of the classroom.

Jungkook watched as Y/n left the classroom, her confidence and determination evident in every step she took. He remained seated, his thoughts racing as he processed her words.

He knew Y/n liked him. That was undeniable. But the doubts lingered in the back of his mind. Y/n was famous, a beloved figure on campus, and her attention was something many would crave. Moreover she could pull just anyone. Was her interest in him genuine, or was it just a game? Could she be doing this for fun, or worse, to break his heart?

Jungkook couldn't shake the memory of his brother's experience. His brother had once been involved with a popular girl who turned out to be only interested in him as part of a dare—a cruel joke that ended with a broken heart. The situation had left a scar, and Jungkook couldn't help but wonder if he was in a similar predicament.

He knew he was yet to trust her.
