                                          (Demon X Human)

Footsteps echoed through the fiery, burning land, each step striking a reverent silence among the demons gathered there. They bowed their heads in respect, their fiery gazes lowered as the infamous Soulkeeper walked past. Y/N rarely returned to Hell from Earth, but when she did, her presence commanded attention. She was a force of precision and power, a figure both feared and admired.

At 500 years old, Y/N was young by demon standards but had already climbed to impressive heights in Hell's ranks. As a Soulkeeper, she was tasked with claiming the souls of the damned, manipulating humans to surrender to their darkest desires and ensuring their damnation. Not a single soul escaped her grasp—she was relentless and efficient. Her role extended further as a Lieutenant of the Infernal Guard, where she oversaw lower demons on Earth, ensuring order and enforcing Hell's laws with an iron will.

But even demons have their flaws, and Y/N carried hers like a weight that never lifted. A curse, placed on her by a vengeful human family, loomed over her existence: if she ever experienced intense human emotions—love, longing, or anything close—she would die. It was a flaw that haunted her, though she stubbornly believed it would never come to pass.

Reaching the massive doors carved with writhing snakes and jagged skulls glowing with molten lava, she shoved them open without hesitation. The Infernal Overlord's chamber fell silent. Gasps rippled through the air as she strode inside without the usual formality. The heavy doors groaned shut behind her, sealing her within the blazing, oppressive space.

"Lord Jin," You called out, your voice sharp. "What you did was absolute nonsense."

From his towering throne of charred bone and smoldering embers, the Infernal Overlord, Jin, rose slowly, a smirk playing on his lips. His dark, molten eyes glinted with amusement, He had expected you.

"Y/N," he said, his deep voice reverberating through the chamber. "Is that any way to address your boss? Show some respect, Lieutenant."

"Respect?" You shot back, crossing your arms. "You had your little minions hand me some so-called 'anti-human emotion pill.' It reeked of poison. Do you know what would've happened if I'd taken it? I could've died!" You said dramatic.

Jin raised an eyebrow, leaning casually against his throne. "As if. You're a demon, and not just any demon—you're one of the most powerful Soulkeepers Hell has. What makes you think you'd die so easily? I gave you that pill to help you. That ridiculous curse of yours shouldn't be a weakness."

You let out an exasperated sigh. "If I'm a demon, then so should my emotions be like one. Why are you so worried about something that's not going to happen? I don't feel emotions like humans do."

Jin's smirk faded, replaced by a rare seriousness. "That family wouldn't have cursed you if there wasn't even the slightest chance it could happen. Every demon has a piece of humanity in them, Y/N. How else do you think we resemble humans? You've seen it yourself—other demons on Earth building lives, families even."

You jaw tightened. His words hit uncomfortably close. You had seen demons who had settled into human routines, blending in so seamlessly it was almost laughable. Yet you had always believed herself different—untouched by such vulnerabilities.
