-Dylan-
I walk into Dream. Happy as ever. I put my bad down and walk to vault. Just for the fun of it.
"Dylan!" Sophie says walking in.
"Hey. What's up?"
"What's up? That's it? What's up?"
"Yeah." I say confused.
"That's all I get."
"Your still on what happened yesterday. She won't replace you!"
"How do I know that?"
"Because I'm your best friend!"
"Friend."
What? Wow. That hurt.
"Fine, friend. But I never did anything to you!"
"You will."
"No I won't! Stop saying that!"
"Saying what? The truth?"
"That's not the truth!"
"Sure it's not. Because it will happen. You'll find she's better then you. And you will take her over me. I know how this works."
"Not with me."
"Not with you? Really? It's always this way with you!"
"Then why am I here talking to you then if I have better friends."
"I don't know. Maybe because you want to be your usual cover me up goody goody self!"
I see Max walk out the door upstairs. I ignore him.
"Me? Goody goody self? That's a lie!"
"No it's not! You know it's true! You do it all the time! Oh, my parents aren't rich. My parents aren't blah blah blah. Oh I've never swore in my life blah blah blah."
"I haven't! My parents aren't rich! So stop saying that!"
"Oh yeah. When you get the best costumes here. The best stuff out of all of us. Your gymnastics stuff in your basement. The wood floor for dance in your basement. And your sister gets all her stuff. And you still have money left over. And you say you aren't rich."
"Because I'm not! We're wealthy!"
"If you call that wealthy, sure."
"Maybe I have this stuff because my parents work for it and save for it! Unlike other in this world!"
"Oh shut up Dylan."
"Me shut up? Sure. Gladly."
I turn and walk to the beam. I sit on it and don't say a word to her. She walks upstairs. Max walks down and sits by me.
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Doesn't bother me."
I stand and walk upstairs.
"Hey Dylan. Can we run through your solo real quick?" Alex asks me.
"sure."
The other members are in the viewing box on top of the studio where you can see the big room.
I walk in and stand. Alex starts Battle Scars. Maybe a minute in and start thinking. Then I start getting emotional. I go down when I'm supposed to. But I don't get up.

-Max-
"Dylan's not getting up." Emily says.
"What?"
I look over. She's right. She's not. Alex stops the music and runs to her.
"Is she hurt?" I ask.
"I don't know. I didn't see anywhere she could have been."
"Hey, you okay?" Alex asks Dylan.
Dylan shakes her head.
"You hurt?" She shakes her head again. "Then what's wrong?"
Sophie walks out of the room. I see Dylan shake. She's crying. Hard too. Alex sits her up.
"What's wrong Dylan?"
"Me and Sophie are in a fight. And we don't think we will be friends again. Nor do I really want to if she's going to act this way."
She has a point there.
"Then don't be."
Dylan shakes her head.
"go get a drink okay?"
Dylan gets up and walks out. Sophie walks back in.
Alex looks up at is and holds her arms out. She walks up there.
"Hey, enough with the drama. If I loose my best dancer I swear to God."
She slams the door behind her. Oh good. I look at Sophie.
"What?" She says through gritted teeth.
I shake my head. She leaves again.

-Dylan-
"What? Can't finish a solo anymore? Too scared?" Sophie says.
"Shut up."
"Oh, I will. Don't worry."
"Good. I don't want to be your friend in the first place!"
"Good!"
I see Emily and Max walk to the stairs again. It doesn't bother me.
"Then, leave me alone."
"I will."
I walk away.
"Good luck Saturday! Don't have an emotional fit!"
I turn on my heel and walk toward her. Amex steps in front of me.
"You two, big room. Now!"
We walk to the big room. Alex shuts the door behind her.
"Knock it off. Both of you. I don't need you arguing in my gym. Don't need a dancer with emotional stress. Sophie, just Emily is with us so just get used to it."
Sophie storms out of the room.
"I'm sorry Alex."
"It's not your fault."
"Feels like it is."
"It's not. Now, go have some fun."
"Okay."
I walk out of the room and go to the lookout room. I just sit there as Emily runs her solo. She's a good dancer. Really good actually.
Class finished so I head to the lobby and wait for my mom. Max walks down then too. What is with this all the time!
"You okay?"
"Yeah. I'm fine."
"You broke down in your solo. That's not you."
"I know it's not."
My mom pulls up.
"Well, I got to go. See you tomorrow."
"Yeah."
