34 - Perspective

**3 YEARS LATER**

"Aunt Suzzie!" Ryder yelled running down the hallway from his room to the living room.

Suzanne had just gotten home from being gone a month. Ryder had just turned 3 and then she left. She was working with Lloyd on something, and I wasn't too thrilled about it especially after hearing how Lloyd did his work nowadays. He was reckless and careless.

"RY!" Suzanne said and scooped him up in her arms and I smiled as I walked in and walked over giving her a hug once she put Ryder down.

"Welcome home." I said and she smiled.

"Thanks, good to be back." Suzanne said and we walked to the couch and sat down. Ryder crawling up into her lap and I smiled at them. She looked at Ryder and sighed.

"This is the only Hansen face I want to see for a while." She said and I laughed.

"That bad?" I asked and she nodded.

"He is still on the mission. He insisted that we didn't finish the job even though it was. He is just working with some guards and by himself." Suzanne said and I just shook my head.

"So typical Lloyd being Lloyd." I said and she nodded.

"Pretty much. I mean I don't want to speak bad about him but seriously...he isn't thinking clearly lately." Suzanne said and I groaned.

"Think it would help if I went and talk to him?" I asked and Suzanne shook he head.

"I don't know honestly. I mean you and him haven't talk in how long?" Suzanne asked and I groaned.

"A year and a half." I said and she sighed.

"Yeah exactly." Suzanne said.

"Aunt Suzzie! Pizza!" Ryder said and we laughed.

"I think I know what's for dinner." Suzanne said and I nodded.

Later that night Suzanne was already asleep, and Ryder had just gone down for the night. I was lying in bed looking at my phone, at Lloyds contact info, thinking of calling him and just getting info from him about what was going on and why he was being the way he had recently.

Before I could even hit call there was a fast knocking on my bedroom door.

"Yeah?" I asked sitting up and turning on my light. Suzanne was standing there on the phone.

"Can you send me the info as to where he is?" She asked. I looked at her confused. "Okay fine, Mavis will be ready in 30 minutes." Suzanne said and hung up. I just looked at her. "There will be a car here in 30 minutes to get you, you need to get dressed and packed." She said and I looked at her confused. "It's Lloyd." She said and that was all I needed to hear as I jumped out of bed.

I was quickly on the private jet landing in Madrid. I was quickly picked up by Felix and I smiled as I got in the car and headed to the local hospital.

"What happened?" I asked as we rushed down a hallway in the hospital and I noticed all the guards and empty rooms. Just like Lloyd and want a private floor.

"He was in an altercation..."

"What does that mean?!" I asked annoyed.

"Mr. Hansen was injured in the line of duty. He was shot in the leg and shoulder. Leg was near a major artery." Felix said as we stopped outside a room that had the door closed.
