"SWEETHEART, is Fornax not there?" Amira's mother inquired during their ongoing video call. "Is there any tension between you two?"

Napailing naman si Amira. "Everything is fine, Mom. I suppose his job takes precedence over everything else."

"Sabagay, hija. What should I say? We both married men with hectic schedules," she remarked, and her mother's laughter filled the air as she made a realization. "Did you know that your father and I only had a one-day honeymoon? We had to because we were both swamped. Your dad was busy with his company, and I had some complicated affairs with my hacienda."

Amira takes solace in her mother's words as she continues to listen attentively. Matrimonial relationships can be intricate and unique, requiring a deep understanding of one's partner to ensure a successful marriage.

Amira is aware that she must ensure the success of this marriage. Hindi pa nakakabangon ang kompanya ng tatay niya.

Fornax has been understanding, recognizing that he is a man with his desires and needs. Normal din sa mag-asawa ang magtalik. What occurred last night was typical, but Amira continues to ponder that it wasn't. She does indeed rekindle her emotions for Fornax, but she suspects that he might be playing with her. Na parang hindi seryoso sa kanya ang lalaki. At delikado ito, alam niya.

Amira is determined not to replay history; she is well aware of Fornax's ability to shatter her heart.

"Darling, let's have our conversation later. I have some matters to attend to with the hacienda. I'll arrange for your father to bring Cree over to be with you since you're alone," her mother suggested. Amira was the one to conclude the call immediately after her mother bid farewell. Alam niyang magiging abala ang kanyang ina sa hacienda dahil magbebenta ito ng mga kabayo ngayon.

Kahit papaano ay gumaan naman ang loob niya nang malaman niyang ihahatid ang kanyang anak.

Cree embodies her happiness and serves as her wellspring of strength. She never anticipated that raising Cree would turn out to be such a wise choice.

Amira patiently waited for an hour before she heard a knock at the door. With excitement, she swung the door open, only to discover Cree standing there alongside her father.

"Mommy!" Cree welcomed her with embraces and kisses.

Gumanti naman ng yakap si Amira sa anak. "Hello, little one. Mommy has missed you dearly."

"All is well, anak?" Naalala niyang kasama pala ng bata si Don Franco na kanyang ama.

"I'm doing well, Dad," Amira smiled at her father, attempting to conceal her loneliness. "Fornax hasn't been unkind to me."

"Alam ko naman na hindi ka niya sasaktan, hija." Nakontento naman ang kanyang ama sa sagot niya. "Paano ba? Aalis na ako."

"Salamat sa paghatid kay Cree, Dad." Niyakap naman ni Amira ang ama saglit. Ngumiti naman ang Don at tuluyan nang umalis sa resort.

Kahit hindi man magsalita ang Don ay alam ni Amira at nararamdaman niyang nakokonsensya ito.

Her father was unaware of Fornax's infidelity a decade ago, but Amira was well aware of a father's intuition.

Hindi nga lang niya malaman kung bakit tila ipinipilit pa rin siya ng kanyang ama na huwag ilayo ang kanyang loob kay Fornax. Hindi rin naman kasi sapat ang rason na magkasosyo ang mga ito sa business subalit nararamdaman ni Amira na parang may mas mahigit pa na rason ang kanyang ama.

She understands that her dad has always had her best interests at heart. However, she couldn't quite grasp why he had chosen Fornax for her, even after all these years. As for whether Fornax is truly the right choice for her, Amira is uncertain. All she has ever known is how to endure in Fornax's embrace, even though she suspects he may ultimately be her downfall.
