Wild Romance Series 3: Fornax Reeze Maddox

Chapter 12:

AMIRA awoke to the sensation of soft kisses on her cheeks, as the sunlight streamed in through the open curtains, illuminating her face.

"Good morning, sunshine," she heard his deep, masculine voice say the moment Amira's eyes fluttered open.

"Fornax," she uttered his name as she recognized the person who was kissing her and interrupting her peaceful slumber. "Ang aga mo yata nagising."

She heard him laugh softly. "Amira, you know nothing."

Magtatanong pa sana siya sa lalaki subalit kaagad rin itong lumabas ng silid. Hindi na rin niya magawang matulog ulit kaya napilitan siyang pumanaog at dumiritso sa kusina upang maghanda ng almusal.

However, upon Amira's arrival in the kitchen, Cree and Fornax were already present, indulging in pancakes.

"Enjoying breakfast without me?" she inquired of both of them.

Cree's innocent eyes sparkled, and he hurriedly embraced his mother. "Good morning, Mommy!"

"Good morning to you too," Amira said as she gently patted his head. Talagang nakakatuwa ang batang ito. Cree always had a way of brightening her spirits.

"You should have something to eat before we set off," Fornax offered, extending a plate of pancakes toward Amira.

Amira furrowed her eyebrows. "But we don't have any plans for today."

"We do, don't we, Cree?" Fornax asked, directing his gaze to Cree, who was busy drizzling honey over his pancakes.

Cree nodded in affirmation and took a hearty bite of his pancakes. Fornax simply smiled at Amira and then shrugged his shoulders, as if silently conveying an 'I told you so.'

"Saan tayo pupunta, Fornax?" Muling tinanong ni Amira ang asawa. Minabuti rin niyang umupo sa hapagkainan kasabay ang dalawa. "We're a team now, so there's no need to hide anything from me," she said reassuringly.

Bahagyang natigalan naman si Amira sa sinabi. Sadyang masyado na niyang dinadama ang pagiging asawa niya kay Fornax.

"It's not a secret because it's a surprise, Mom," Cree chimed in, explaining.

Amira playfully rolled her eyes in response. Parang pinagkakaisahan siya ng dalawang ito.

"I've been feeling a bit left out. You two seem to be up to something, and I have no idea what it is," Amira confessed, but she continued eating her pancakes, not wanting to spoil her breakfast. "But I suppose I'm looking forward to it."

Cree clapped his hands with excitement and offered Fornax a high-five. It was clear that the two of them were indeed planning something, and Amira couldn't help but feel delighted as she witnessed their camaraderie.

"Finished!" It was a bit of a miracle that Cree managed to finish his food for the first time. Halatang ganado ito sa plano ng kanyang ama.

"Hurry up, wife." Pabirong sabi naman ni Fornax at nag-alay rin ito ng kindat sa asawa. Natapos na rin ito sa pagkain ng almusal.

"Wait for me!" Amira hurriedly tried to devour her pancakes as quickly as she could to catch up. Masyado kasing nagmamadali ang dalawa niyang kasama sa kung saan man sila pupunta.

"Take it easy, Mom," Cree advised as he noticed his mother eating in haste. "I'm certain that blue-eyed will wait for you."

Nakita naman ni Amira na naglalakad papalayo ang anak sa kusina.

She inquired of her son, "Where are you headed? Aren't you going to wait for me as well?"

Cree shrugged and sighed, "I'll be waiting for both of you outside. I'll have the backseat of the car all to myself."
