"COME on, Mathis! Please pick up the phone," Amira muttered anxiously while pacing back and forth on the ship's deck. They had now arrived at the beach of the island.
"Are you occupied?"
"I'm trying to reach out to other agents," Amira replied, omitting the detail that she was attempting to contact Mathis, who happened to be Fornax's cousin. "If I have to go to Cree, I'll require some additional support."
"Is there anything I can assist with, wife?" Fornax asked, eager to be of help to Amira in locating Cree. While he wasn't an agent, he possessed substantial wealth and had some underground connections through Thorne. "I could explore for leads within the underground."
"No." Pinandilatan naman siya ni Amira. Amira carefully placed her phone into her jeans pocket and responded, "I don't want you to get involved with the underground once more, Fornax. They're dangerous people."
"Perhaps," Fornax replied with a smile as he responded to his wife. The underground organization might have a sinister reputation among agents like Amira, but Fornax always sensed that there was more to it. "While the underground organization might seem wrong due to its negative image, I can't help but see it as a sort of prison. To me, not everyone within those walls is a villain."
Amira rolled her eyes upon hearing her husband's explanation. "You're too virtuous to belong to an underground organization and too mischievous to be an agent," she teased.
"You're quite the judge, my wife," Fornax pouted playfully and then lifted his wife in a bridal style. "I'm just an average businessman who can also make love to you all night long."
"Ibaba ko nga ako, Fornax." Amira issued a command to him while she noticed the ship's captain smiling at them."Tinitignan tayo ni captain."
Fornax shifted his focus to his wife and remarked, "See? He doesn't seem to mind at all."
Amira rolled her eyes, somewhat amazed by her husband's playful and crafty nature.
"I've been eagerly anticipating this all day," Fornax admitted with a grin.
"Take it easy, Fornax," Amira giggled as she felt his lips on her neck.
"Hmmm..." Amira softly moaned as their kiss came to a pause, both of them catching their breaths. "Are you considering telling my father about the company?" she inquired.
She was well aware that Fornax consistently prioritized his business above all else.
"I'm not entirely sure," Fornax replied as he continued to unbutton Amira's top, his focus shifting elsewhere. "Baka bawiin ka niya sakin. After all, that devious scheme is the very reason why he allowed me to marry you."
Amira inquired with a teasing smile, her curiosity piqued.
Fornax simply shrugged his shoulders in response.
