So, the day ended, I went home, did my homework, went to bed, and went to school the next day.

As soon as I walked into the cafeteria, Reece ran over to me, yelling, "Hi Aurora! Hey! Over here!"

I wanted to disappear. Everybody was staring at me.

But having a new friend made up for my embarrassment.

We sat down at an empty table and talked about volcanoes. Sometimes, Reece snuck in snippets about sports, and I about science, but all in all we understood each other.

We also agreed to teach each other about our interests. I would teach Reece about science, and she would teach me about sports.

It was one of the best mornings of my life.

Much better than spending my mornings alone in the cafeteria, as usual.

It turned out that the school put Reece in all of my classes, since they chose me to be her tour guide.

I was so happy, I could have jumped up and down right in front of the principal when she told me that in her office.

We were allowed to skip the next 2 periods, which were social studies (which we were both happy about) and gym (which Reece wasn't happy about, but I shrieking with glee). I got to show Reece around the school and go into every classroom and announcing the same thing that happened yesterday when Ms. Farell introduced Reece.

This was the best day ever.
