After practice is over, we're about to head out when I realized we had forgotten something.
"Guys! We forgot something!" I say as Reece zips up her bag and Tempest is packing hers.
"What?" they say together.
"We forgot to give ourselves super hero names." I say, like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Oh. Right." Reece says.
"Well, what should our names be?" Tempest asks. "I know," she adds immediately. "I'll be Storm."
"Awesome!" I say. "Like from X-Men!"
"I'll be Wildfire," Reece says. "Since I can be wild, I got my powers from one, and I met you guys because of one!"
"That's great," I say. "But what should I be?"
Reece and Tempest stare blankly at me.
"Um.." Reece says.
"I actually don't know..." Tempest says. "Maybe.. Something to do with telepathy?"
"No, I don't just have telepathy." I say.
"I know!" Reece pipes up. "How about... Duh duh duh duh!" she makes royal music with her mouth, "Extraordinary Girl? You are extraordinary, after all. Think about it. Your powers are awesome, and you're really smart."
"I totally agree," Tempest chimes in.
"Great! And, thanks guys." I say, grinning.
We do the fist thing again, but I freeze.
"What about our team name?" I say.
"Ah, we'll think about that another time," Reece says, shrugging.
"Okay," I say, and we continue with our fists.
"3, 2, 1," Reece yells. "To Wildfire, Storm, and Extraordinary Girl!" We all yell, and we put our fists in the air.
