So, the day Tempest offered us to dye our hair was Monday. Today's Wednesday.
Yesterday, I asked my dad about dying my hair, and he said yes. So, I went and bought some purple non permanent hair dye. The color on the bottle is SO pretty!
It turns out that Flora, Fauna, and Isabella's parents all said yes, too. They came in to the meeting with their dyes.
"So, Tempest, when are you going to dye our hair?" I ask, while everyone is unpacking their stuff and getting ready for practice.
"I could do it now, if you guys want," Tempest says. "As long as I've got a comb, tin foil, and a pot of warm water, and I'm good to go."
"Oh! Okay," I say, kind of surprised by this sudden change of plans, but decide to go with it. "Yeah, totally! Let me tell the others."
And I walk to the middle of the room and clap my hands for attention.
"Um, guys, change of plans," I announce. "Tempest is going to do our hair now. So, no practice today." Everyone but Reece looks happy about this. "Sorry, Reece," I add. "Looks like you'll have to sit this one out. Hey, maybe you can help Tempest?"
"Fine," Reece says glumly.
"Flora and Fauna, all Tempest needs is a comb, tin foil, and a pot of warm water," I say.
"Actually, I need 4 pots of water," Tempest cuts in. "For all of you."
"Okay, make that 4 pots of water," I inform the twins. "Can you do that?"
"Sure," they say together, and they trot upstairs to get the supplies.
In 20 minutes' time (in which we all had a quick practice of our powers), everything was ready and good to go.
Each of us sat in front of a pot of water with a few drops of dye added to it. Tempest then did us one by one, dipping one section of our tin foiled wrapped hair into the pot. Then, after about a minute, she took that part out and did the same with another part.
She did this about 5 more times until finally, she said to take our hair out of the pot and the tin foil and put a towel around our necks so it dried.
About a half hour later, our hair was almost dry, and Tempest said we could take off the towels.
I looked in the mirror that Flora gave me and gasped. It was amazing! And so vibrant, too. I ran over to Tempest and hugged her.
"Thanks so much, Tempest!" I say. "It looks awesome!"
"It was nothing," Tempest says, clearly embarrassed but content by all the attention.
I examined Flora's hair, which complimented her hair beautifully, Fauna's, who's was the brightest by far, and Isabella, who the silver dye looked great on, especially in the light when it shimmered and shone.
Soon enough, it was 4:30 and we all had to leave. We were all really satisfied with our new hair and had probably thanked Tempest a million times before we left.
I wonder what bad guys will think about our hair.
Probably that it's awesome.
