At the practice, all of us showed each other a demonstration of our powers, and then Flora drew us all suits. I had suggested we all wear masks, since I'd been thinking about what Christine had said about the government, and so Flora put masks on me, Reece, and Tempest, saying that masks didn't really fit their costumes. They were SUPER cool. Flora's really good at drawing.
My costume has a purple dress, turquoise boots, a purple cape and headband, a purple translucent mask (as I requested), and my logo on my chest. I'm wearing my hair in the usual down.
Tempest has a blue translucent mask that's just like mine, a turquoise and blue jumpsuit (the top turquoise and the pants blue), black boots, a turquoise cape, her hair worn in a ponytail with a blue hair tie, and she's standing on an active storm cloud, has snowflakes coming from her right hand and lightning from her left, and she has her logo on her chest.
Reece has a red and yellow jumpsuit (the top red and the pants yellow), an orange cape, and wears her flaming red hair down and wild, gesturing to her superhero name. She has an orange translucent mask just like mine and Tempest's, her logo is on her chest, and she's shooting fireballs with her left hand and holding one with her right. The fireballs kind of remind me of basketballs and Reece's awesome skills in the game.
Isabella's suit is all gray and silver ("Since invisibility doesn't really have a color," Flora had explained). Her jumpsuit is gray with her logo on her chest, and her cape and boots are a metallic silver.
Fauna is one of the best ones, plus it took Flora FOREVER to draw. She wears her hair in pigtails and is wearing a dark turquoise and blue jumpsuit (the top turquoise and the pants blue), a turquoise cape, and black boots with her logo on her chest. In her left hand, she's holding a small mouse, and her right arm sticks out as a perch for an eagle. Surrounding her are a squirrel, a leopard, and a huge bear, all of which are SUPER detailed.
Finally, Flora is wearing a bright pink dress, a light pink cape, and green leggings, and wears black boots. Her hair is in the usual bun and is tied with a bright green vine. On her face is her ghost of a smile, on her chest is her logo, and slung around her shoulder is a small brown messenger bag (I'd asked about it, and she said that it was her seed bag, which is full of seeds she'd enchanted to grow instantly). Finally, her left hand is producing a long, whip-like vine, and her right is shooting out leaves.
This took a long while, and once she was finished, we all stared at our pictures in awe.
"Thanks, Flora!" Reece says. "We all look so awesome! By the way, the big fireball in my hand's a nice touch. I'll definitely try that pose."
Flora smiles shyly and her cheeks gain a shade of pink from all of the positive attention.
Once we realize that Fauna's watch reads 5:00, we quickly announce that practice is over. We all put our hands in, and I yell, "1, 2, 3," and we say, "The Extraordinaires!" Then, we start to pack up and go home.
Once all of our bags are zipped up, we all hurry upstairs (Isabella, Tempest, Reece, and I with a quick good-bye and a thank you to Christine, Flora, and Fauna), walk out the door, and give each other one last glance.
Then, we run to each of our houses.
As I'm running, our chant is ringing in my ears.
"The Extraordinaires! The Extraordinaires! The Extraordinaires!"
