In the quiet stillness of the pre-dawn, Eren stirred awake, finding himself alone as the moonlit night held the camp in serene slumber. Braving the gentle darkness, he stood and, to his surprise, felt an unexpected strength in his limbs. A glimmer of newfound resilience.
With cautious steps, Eren navigated the camp towards a small water fountain, driven by the thirst that had plagued him. Just as he reached for the cool liquid, a voice sliced through the night – Jax cautioning him not to drink. Bewildered, Eren questioned the warning.
"It's poison, disguised as water. A deterrent against the devil," Jax explained. Puzzled, Eren inquired if he resembled the captor who had taken him. As he described the man, Jax nodded solemnly, confirming Eren's suspicion. Jax handed Eren mud to cleanse the potential poison from his hands, ensuring his safety.
Guided by Jax, Eren followed him to a concealed bunker within the camp. Unveiling the entrance, they entered a remarkable space – an expansive underground garden stretching as far as the eye could see. Jax declared with pride, "We've got an infinite food source."
