Y/N's POV
Flashback Continued
Upon the familiar sound of a motor engine pulling up outside Jared, Paul, Embry and Quil took off to most likely greet Jacob as he was the only missing member that rode a motorbike.
"Seth, time for class, go get set up." Sam suddenly demands. Confused, I looked to Leah who gave me a look back that said not to ask.
With a shrug I stood up to walk outside and greet my friend only to hear the cackling sound of hyenas laughing and to see my sister awkwardly standing off to the side chuckling.
"Glad you're here Bella. Maybe we can get a break from Jake's obsessive inner monologue." I heard Embry tease as Leah joined my side, the other boys were quick to join in the teasing.
"I wish Bella would call." Paul said, waving a half eaten chicken drumstick and jabbing Jake's side.
"I wish Bella wouldn't call." Jared then said mouth full of chicken as he waved the drumstick.
"Maybe I should call Bella." Embry says.
"Maybe I should call Bella and hang up." Quil chimes resulting in the four of them all laughing whilst Jacob and Bella stood there awkwardly chuckling. It was amusing to say the least but I wouldn't want to be in my sister's shoes.
"All right, you can shut up now." Jacob mumbled.
Deciding to step in, I smirked as I jumped down off the decking walking over and pushing the cackling hyenas out the way.
"Skipping out on school, Bells?" I ask.
"Yeah well, we graduate in less than a month and there's not much to do there other than study hall, so figured I'd drop by." She answers.
"Can't believe Y/n's actually graduating and hasn't gotten herself held back another year." Paul teases, laughing at his own remark.
His laugh quickly died however when I gave him a deadpan stare. "Paul at this point I'm starting to think you enjoy it when I hit you with Emily's slipper." Snickers came from the other boys at my comment.
The sound of footsteps drew all our attention away from each other and to Leah, who approached with a hard glare on her face. I instantly knew this wasn't gonna end well and quickly mouthed a small apology in my sister's direction.
"Bella, this is Leah Clearwater, Harry's daughter." Jacob introduced, though it wasn't needed since the two had met a few times when we hung out.
"Hey. I'm really sorry about your father." Bella says quietly with a small shrug.
"If you're here to torture Jacob some more,
feel free to leave." She barked before walking off.
A moment of awkward silence fell over us, the hyenas suddenly finding more interest in their chicken than teasing Jacob and Bella.
"Fun, isn't she?" Jacob remarks.
"Be nice." I scold playfully walking off to follow Leah. I caught up to Leah who stood on the small hill leading into the forest. "You good?" I asked.
"I'm fine." She bitterly replied before sighing and repeating what she said in a calmer voice. "Just need to get out of here for a while." She then admits.
"Alright, wanna go to Terabithia?" I suggested.
Leah sent me a smile and a small nod. "Alright, I'll meet you there." I said about to turn around to walk back to my bike, however, Leah gripped my arm stopping me from walking off.
