A/n: Just a quickie,

1) When I say I've spent the last 24-48hrs on this chapter, I mean it and as a result ended up writing one about 6-8k words long that I've had to split it into three chapters.

2) This does mean the flashback scene is extended over 4 maybe 5 chapters instead of 2 before we get back to current time which will be around the time the Cullens make the decision to "go to Seattle".

3) I won't be posting all three chapters tonight just this one then the other two tomorrow or at some point during the week.

4) Enjoy the read and don't be a silent reader

3rd Person POV

Flashback Continued

The remaining Cullens gathered on their land inside of Forks forest not far from the house they knew a certain redhead had her eyes trained upon.

It was warily quiet in the forest nothing but the insects scurrying about in the night could be heard, crickets being the dominant insect heard to normal human ears but for the Cullens super sensitive ears, that dug deeper to the many inhabitants of the forest.

The Cullens stood in a wide semi-circle all ready to race off in whatever direction they needed to the second Alice picked up on Victoria. Since Alice had met the vampire, she was able to keep track of her movements by triggering visions, though these were more flashes lasting only a brief second compared to the other visions she'd experience.

"Are you sure this is where you saw her?" Carlisle's voice rang out, the first to break the silence that had settled around them.

Unlike his usual attire he wore a white shirt, Navy work out jumper and black joggers accompanied by trainers. In fact all the Cullens wore clothes associated with exercising. The looseness of the clothes would allow them to run slightly faster to keep up with Victoria who was notoriously know for her speed. Though to a normal human's eyes it wouldn't matter because regardless of what they wore they were fast.

Jasper wandered closer to Alice's side at Carlisle's question, a look of reassurance in his eyes as he tried to comfort his focused mate.

"She's almost here." Alice announced, her voice soft but strong with confidence for she could feel her vision coming. The pixie brunette focused harder, concentrating on the small details in the bark of nearby trees, the changes in the moist air which drizzled with rain and for any disturbances in the sounds around them.

And as the sound of a coyote screeching through the night echoed through the forest around them, the flash of red hair and skin as pale as snow flashed before her eyes. The woman they eagerly awaited for approaching from the left.

"On your left!" Alice yelled out to the group and took off after the vampire. The Cullens chased her down in a matter of seconds with Emmet, Jasper and Carlisle quickly taking the lead in the pursuit.

As they raced through the trees dodging branches and jumping over thick roots or rocks sticking out the ground, Emmett picked up his pace by crouching lower and pumping his arms faster to pick up his momentum.

With a grunt as she ran along the moonlit forest floor, Victoria was barely managing to maintain a distance from the fastly approaching Cullen, knowing she'd have to quickly shake him off to avoid her own demise.

She allowed her pace to slow down slightly, making the man believe he'd have a shot at capturing her as he stuck his arm out reaching to grab onto her shoulder and yank her down. But as fast as his hand made contact with her her shoulder was about as fast as he was slung over it and thrown away to the ground by the women who began to run faster once again.
