Y/n's POV

4pm, the best time of the day, no more exams, no more cramming in last minute revision and no more teachers going on and on about Pythagoras theorem, Shakespeare and photosynthesis.

4pm is truly a blissful moment of racing out of class and pushing my way through the crowds of students.

The only downside, avoiding the remaining vampire occupants and my sister. That part sucked but I have a pretty good technique. Stick by Jessica till I'm outside then bolt.

Best part of this plan? None of them can use their vampire speed to catch me.

Worse part, having to spend five minutes within close proximity of that arse hole Jessica. Like right now the bitch is going on and on about her graduation speech like it gonna shape the future of the United States.

I rolled my eyes pretending to listen to the girl when I'm actually keeping a close peripheral vision on the incoming vampires and my sister who are eagerly trying to catch up. I crossed my fingers and began quietly muttering.

"Come on, come on, come on." In a rushed whisper praying the main entrance to the school would show up soon.

It felt like an eternity when I saw the doors over the heads of students. 'I'm so close.' I thought victoriously. Though my victory was celebrated too soon for a hand clamped onto my shoulder making me jump out my skin. 'FUCK!' I yelled mentally and allowed the frozen steel grip to spin me around to face them.

When my eyes locked onto the unamused face of Alice Cullen I let out a nervous closed eye chuckle.

'Welp so much for avoiding you guys.' I thought.

"Why are you avoiding us?" Edward then asks.

My eyes opened shocked that he'd spoken the thoughts I'd just had, till I was hit with the realisation that he could read thoughts. 'Ugh, stay out of my head.' I groaned.

"No reason. But I am actually in a rush. I have a doctor appointment in..." I paused to look at my invisible watch. "Oh look at that two minutes, bye now." I say in an attempt to turn around and walk away but failed as Alice and Jasper linked arms with me and held me so I was unable to walk away.

"Guuuuuys, come on, do we really have to do this now?" I complained.

"Yes we do, why are you avoiding us?" Bella said.

"Tch." I clicked my tongue at my sister, sending her a glare. Truth is I was still very pissed off at her wanting to be a vampire because of her ageing fear. Stubbornly I turned away from my sister, well turned my head since Alice and Jasper were really putting a lot of strength to keep me pinned forwards.

"She's still annoyed at your reasons for changing." Edward muttered.

"Stay out of my head Professor X." I growled annoyed. "And let go of me." I tried to tug my arms away from the pair holding them but they wouldn't let up. "Stop, let go." I struggled.

"It's pointless trying to escape Y/n we're not letting you go till..." Jasper began but got cut off when he smelt something. He lent forwards and sniffed the denim jacket I was wearing along with the beige jumper under it. He suddenly released me, stepping away with an unimpressed look.

"Why do you smell like those dogs?" He growled in demand for an answer.

I scoffed and yanked my other arm from Alice who's grip faltered at her husband's remark. "Those dogs are still my best friends. You'd think people like you would be less discriminatory towards other species. Just because they can phase doesn't mean I have to stop being their friend just like ..." I paused and clicked my tongue.
