Y/n's POV
We arrived at the station my father worked at 20 minutes after my arrest, the entire time I sat in the back quietly staring daggers at the officers as they ran my license.
"Y/n Swan... one of the chief's daughters?" Charles, a tall and broad officer asked as he looked at me through the mirror.
I remained quiet as I shuffled in my seat and exhaled a breath of air through my nose as I continued staring daggers back into his eyes which watched me.
"You understand you're facing having this confiscated, right?" He proceeded to ask, holding my license up for me to see.
I shrugged before looking away, no longer caring. A mistake on my behalf as when I looked out the window I saw him on the sidewalk watching as the car drove past. I slumped down in my seat with a sad look as I watched his figure pass by the window.
'Why'd you have to leave?' I thought to myself as I looked at my lap, my right leg bouncing with nerves as we drew closer to my fathers workplace.
The next time the car stopped was when we pulled into the station car park. Hearing the hand brake crank up, the jangling off the keys as they were removed from the ignition and the dulling of the engine created the impending doom of what lay behind the station doors.
My door was opened making me look up at the officer, next thing I know he's leaning over me undoing my belt before pulling me out the car. The walk of shame began the second I saw my father standing behind the station doors arms crossed and a frown prominent on his face.
"Shit." I whispered to myself though Charles heard.
"Oi." He warned before ushering me forward to which I hesitantly but reluctantly did. We walked up the steps and Charles opened the door. I stood there scared and guiltily as the thing blocking me and my father was removed.
We all stood there in a tense atmosphere as my father glared at me in disappointment and I stood there like a child caught sneaking sweets up to her room.
After a minute my father walked away surprising me and his co-workers. I was led through the doors and down to the empty office room my father stood in waiting.
Once there I was sat down and left alone with my father. The doors closed and silence filled the room. It remained like this for a while. I'm not sure how much time passed but the longer this went on the more my leg bounced and the more agitated I became.
"Don't you have anything to say for yourself?" My father who had just been sitting there staring disappointedly at me finally broke the silence, his tone reflecting his expression.
I remained silent looking further down at the floor in shame. A sarcastic laugh left my dad's mouth as he nodded and stood up pacing the room.
I looked up at him through my lashes watching as he stressfully paced. "First you throw a computer out a window then you get caught speeding... and you have nothing to say." He said facing me with a shrug.
"I'm sorry dad." I said quietly.
"You're sorry? Sorry ain't gonna cut it Y/n!" He raised his voice slightly.
"I know." I couldn't face him, I just wanted to run away from the situation.
"Why'd you do it?"
"What?"
"Why'd you destroy school property and then go racing through the streets endangering the lives of others?" My father repeated his question leaning back against the wall, arms still crossed.
"I don't know." I replied with a shrug.
My dad nodded, bitterly sucking on his bottom lip as he listened to my response. "You don't know." I nodded as he repeated my words, my gaze returning to the floor.
