Leaving home
Pandora's point of view
I waited patiently for the others to get some sleep before I snuck out, making sure I had enough clothes and food that I kept hid in the closet of my bedroom. I wasn't sure where I would be going but anywhere was better than here, I wanted a different life than the one I was currently living and the only way I could do that was to leave this place.
I tied every sheet that I could find and snuck out of the bedroom window and quickly made a run for it as I snuck past every guard that was walking around the place, I managed to squeeze through the bars that wrapped around the place and quietly made my way to the nearest train station before I left the state.
I had saved enough money up to get me across the country at least five times but it wasn't what I was going to do. I had managed to make it to Nebraska with the help of the few people that was heading to the state. I spent majority of my time sleeping in different areas as I slept in different barns or similar places until I decided to take shelter in a barn full of horses which wasn't the ideal place to sleep but I made the most of it and got some much needed rest.
I made sure that I remained hidden the best I can as I slept in the loft of the barn where the hay kept me from being discovered until I could move on to the next place that I would sleep. I knew that I was running low on food and money so I decided to get a job at the closest grocery store so I could save up money for food and a place to live so I could stop sleeping in people's barns and other forms of shelter.
