Where she belongs.
Kaleb's point of view
I continued watching after her horse, even though he didn't let me anywhere near him. I noticed that he looked for her everyday that she wasn't here.
A week passed and she finally returned back, I had moved back into the ranch house so she could have her privacy. I knew that she didn't know me like she knew Luke but I wanted to change that.
I seen her pulling up to where the guest cabin was and was instructed by my dad to go help her unpack her things since she was pregnant. I watched as she parked her car and like clockwork her horse come running towards a spot where he could see her and he neighed to her almost as if he was calling for her. I climbed down from the horse I rode over here on and tied the reigns to a post that was in front of her. I gave her a quick kiss and felt her place her face on my back.
Pandora: if she was human she would probably try to date you.
Kaleb: I could say the same thing about him, he has went crazy since you left. I don't know what his problem is but he loves you for some reason.
Pandora: it might be cause I'm pregnant but I guess we'll never know.
Kaleb: one thing is certain, he absolutely hates Luke. If he wasn't in the truck while Willie was feeding them, I believe he would have seriously hurt Luke.
Pandora: sounds like I was missed.
Kaleb: of course you were missed.
Pandora: I'm assuming you are here for a reason?
Kaleb: yeah, dad sent me to help you unpack.
Pandora: your dad?
Kaleb: yeah, the one you call Mr. Jenkins is my dad.
Pandora: it makes sense now. I thought he only had one son.
Kaleb: yeah, it was sad how he passed away and his kids...
Pandora: it was upsetting and I hope they are in a better place.
I watched as she unlocked the door and watched as I carried my things inside while I begun unpacking a couple of boxes she brought here. I put her plates in the cabinet while she put my clothes in the closet while noticing that the other bedroom no longer had a bed in it.
Pandora: are we not sharing the cabin anymore?
Kaleb: oh no, dad figured that you would need privacy so he had the leak in the roof fixed.
Pandora: okay.
I finished placing what few dishes that she owned in the cabinet while she looked through a box that had several photos inside and seen her holding a photo of my brother holding his daughter, I didn't realize it until now that she was the mother of his kids. I sat down beside her after I seen her wipe the glass after the tears she was crying landed on it and she immediately dried her eyes after seeing me sitting beside her on the floor.
Kaleb: I knew that we just met but he would want you to be happy and so would his kids.
Pandora: I did find happiness but my dad caused us to get a divorce which is why I went back to the city and to handle other things as well.
Kaleb: you don't have to explain anything to me Pandora but you deserve to be happy despite being hurt by those you loved in the past and if it's okay with you, I would like to be your friend.
Pandora: I really could use a friend.
I pulled her towards me and held her for as long she allowed me to hold her but she wanted to finish putting her things away before dinner just in case she had to cook for everyone.
I helped her put the rest of her things where she wanted them placed and we finally finished unpacking her things.
Kaleb: I'm sure dad will have something delivered for dinner, get some rest Pandora, I know that you're probably tired after the long drive you took coming back.
Pandora: I am pretty tired but I need to eat something since I'm expecting a child.
Kaleb: don't worry about coming to get a plate of food, I will bring you something to eat, how far along are you?
Pandora: a month and a half. Do you want to feel?
Kaleb: I really should get back to the house before dad thinks we left the ranch.
Pandora: I didn't think about that. I will see you later, good night Kaleb.
Kaleb: good night Pandora.
