chapter twenty seven

Unexpected visit

Kolter's point of view.

We had just arrived at the restaurant where her father wanted to meet up at after spending the rest of the afternoon looking for her a decent dress to wear, it wasn't nothing fancy but it looked beautiful on her and showed her baby bump off, I kept a watchful eye on her to make sure nobody bumped into her as we walked to the table where her father was sitting.

President Hardy: I'm glad you two could join me, I took the liberty of having the owner reserve the entire room so nobody could bother us while we ate dinner.

Pandora: you didn't have to do all this dad, I don't want others thinking that we are afraid of being seen in public let alone having photographers swarm the building while we eat.

Kolter: is there a way out of here if that happens?

President Hardy: my security is just outside the door to the fire exit if we need to leave in a hurry but let's not make a fuss about it until that happens. I know that your friend paid you visit before you returned to the city and I am aware of why she decided to go see you Pandora.

Pandora: she brought it to my attention about your recent behavior, I don't want any problems between us and you because I'm going to be with Kolter regardless of what you expect of me. I love him and he loves me.

President Hardy: I know that I expected you to marry Theodore but it's your life and I understand that now, I just want you to be happy.

Pandora: I am happy dad.

President Hardy: I do hope you two get married soon seeing that you have a child on the way...

Pandora: we actually have...

I looked over at her as she slowly stood up and placed her hand on her belly while her other hand landed on my arm...

Kolter: what's wrong baby..?

She opened her mouth and was about to say something when I seen a puddle on the floor.

Pandora: take me to the hospital Kolter...

President Hardy: what happened sweetheart?

Pandora: my water just broke...

President Hardy: I will get my driver to rush you there.

Pandora: Kolter can you follow behind the limo in your truck? The hospital isn't far from here...

Kolter: are you going to be okay until I can get there?

President Hardy: I will be with in the limo with her.

Kolter: okay, I will see you soon Pandora...

She nodded her head yes and I watched as she walked with her father to where the limo was parked and I quickly rushed to my truck and followed the limo to the hospital. She was immediately taken to a room while waiting for the baby to arrive which took approximately fourteen hours but I stayed by her side the entire time.

Pandora: Kolter...

I looked over at her and noticed that she was in pain as she was breathing heavy...

Kolter: I'm here baby, what do you need...?

Pandora: it hurts so bad...
