Loving two, choosing one (pt. 2)
Theo's point of view.
I felt hurt, hearing those very words leave her mouth. I knew that I had lost her for good, I hoped that she wouldn't do the very thing she should have waited to do but it was too late. I looked at her and noticed that she appeared different from before, she had a glow about her and I knew it was from the happiness she found.
Theodore: you should be with him.
Pandora: I am sorry that I wasted your time.
Theodore: you have nothing to be sorry for, you deserve to be happy with whoever you choose.
Pandora: you'll always be a great friend Theo and I hope you find someone to settle down with soon.
Theodore: I have an idea of who it could be, I'm happy for you both Pandora and I hope he treats you kind.
I watched as she gently placed the engagement ring in the palm of my hand before I closed my fingers around it and felt her arms around my body as we hugged each other before she left.
Pandora: thank you for understanding Theo.
Theodore: what are friends for? Now go to him.
She quietly left and I watched as she disappeared around the corner. I immediately placed the ring back in the box where it originally sat as I quickly put in my pants pocket before someone seen it since Pandora and I agreed to keep our engagement private until we were ready to announce it but it was too late for that now.
My father had suspensions about me being engaged but wasn't sure who I asked to marry, my mother on the other hand figured it out but agreed not to say a word to anyone until I was ready to say something about it.
Pandora and I grew up together, I remember it like yesterday when her mother brought her to my parent's old home just so my mother could meet her since Pandora's mom and my mom were close friends almost like sisters and told each other everything. I remember seeing her small frame of a body wrapped in a blanket while my mom held her close.
I wasn't sure what was going on back then but we had become close friends as the years flew by up to now, I knew it would be weird when we hung out but I would always be here for her if she ever needed me.
