Several weeks passed since I last seen Andi and I was about to go see when I was approached by Sienna, the town's known drama queen; she had mentioned that there was a community bonfire down by the old drive in theater where it has always been for the past three years now.
She invited me to come and I told her that I would be there but I decided to take Andi with me because I knew Sienna had a crush on me but I wasn't interested in dating her because of the reputation she had.
I headed up to the apartment that I let Andi stay at and knocked on the door then seen her standing in front of me as soon as I knocked.
Pandora: hey...
Kolter: hey, did I come at a bad time?
Pandora: no, I was about to head to work. Is there something you needed?
Kolter: no but there is a community bonfire tonight and I was wondering if you wanted to come with me...
Pandora: I'm not exactly the partying type...
Kolter: I wouldn't call it a party, it's more of a way for the townspeople to get to know any newcomers.
Pandora: I appreciate the offer but...
Kolter: I promise it will be fun and if it makes you feel better, I will stay close to you...
Pandora: okay, I will go if it makes you happy...
Kolter: I will pick you up around eight tonight.
Pandora: okay, I will be here...
When eight rolled around, I drove back to where she was and seen her walking out of the building. I couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked as I watched as she walked towards me while I stood near the truck and held the door open for her.
Pandora: I hope I'm not showing to much skin.
Kolter: no, you look great and it's a little warm tonight.
After she got in the truck, I closed the door then got back into the truck and drove to the spot. I watched as she walked over to a spot where nobody else was and seen a few of the other townspeople introduce themselves to her and as I began making my way towards her, I was stopped by Sienna who noticed that I was keeping an eye on Andi which upset her so she decided to walk over to where Andi was standing.
Sienna: you must be the new girl in town?
Pandora: I have been here for a month or so now.
Sienna: my name is Sienna, I hope you find our little town suitable to your liking.
Pandora: of course, I am definitely enjoying it. I love the small town life since it's quieter than a busy city.
Sienna: I can imagine it's why Kolter can't keep his eyes off of you and I just want to let you know that he is mine just in case you decide to get close to him.
Pandora: right, I will keep that in mind...
Sienna: great, thanks. Enjoy the rest of the night.
I waited for her to walk away before I approached Andi just to make sure Sienna didn't get out of line with her.
Kolter: I apologize if she said something to upset you, she's a drama queen.
Pandora: I think it's sweet that she's willing to speak on your behalf, seeing that you can't inform others that she's your girlfriend.
Kolter: we're not dating, she has it in her mind that we are ever since I accidentally kissed her once.
Pandora: well accident or not, she's convinced that you and her are a couple but I'm not judging you, in fact I am happy for you regardless of what you are to her.
Kolter: she's a delusional girl, just ignore her Andi.
Pandora: I planned on ignoring her either way...
Kolter: do you want to go somewhere and see the view of the city?
Pandora: sure, I love a great view.
We walked to my truck and I drove up to a mountain that overlooked the city.
Pandora: it is beautiful up here...
Kolter: I hoped you would like it...
Pandora: I love it, do you come here often?
Kolter: only when I need a place to be alone and think about stuff.
Pandora: I can see why you do...
I sat down next to her and enjoyed the night sky then I did the unthinkable as I quickly kissed her which took her by surprise.
