Father son conversation.
Kolter's point of view
Two weeks passed since arriving back home from visiting with Pandora and even though we talked almost every day over a video chat, it didn't compare to what I was feeling about her. I was forced to get to know during the long talks we had online but it wasn't enough for me because I needed her here with me.
I wasn't sure if I could continue communicating with her this way but I didn't want her thinking I was upset with her so I decided to let her go so she could move on.
Mr. Jenkins: son if you love her, you should tell her.
Kolter: what if she doesn't feel the same way?
Mr. Jenkins: you never know until you express your feelings for her.
Kolter: she's hundreds of miles from here dad, it's not like I can get to her in an hour.
Mr. Jenkins: I never told you this but when I was your age, your mother lived halfway across the country and even though I was ready to let her go, she showed up at my doorstep one day and never left. It wasn't easy having a long distance relationship but we made it work.
Kolter: so you're saying that we should continue our friendship even though we are so far away from each other?
Mr. Jenkins: that's exactly what I'm saying. I know you two are friends but I want to see you happy and I'm sure Pandora will want you to be happy as well Kolter but it's up to you, I just hope this is what you want to do.
I watched as he walked away and thought about what he said, I knew he was right about how I should tell her how I feel towards her and I decided to tell her how I feel.
