Something different
Pandora's point of view
I arrived back to Kolter's home only to find him holding her, I didn't stick around to find out what was going on but as I was about to leave I bumped into his dad who was coming out of the hardware store.
Pandora: I am so sorry Mr. Jenkins I...
Mr. Jenkins: it's okay Pandora, nobody was hurt. Are you here to see Kolter?
Pandora: I was but he, I shouldn't have come back...
Mr. Jenkins: come to the house and we will talk...
Pandora: yes sir...
I followed him to his house and climbed out of the van, I wasn't sure what he wanted to talk about but I knew that I wasn't going to stay here now that I knew he had moved on even though I was expecting his child.
Mr. Jenkins: I know that you probably seen him with her but I made him go see you so he could tell you that they were together.
Pandora: he didn't tell me that he was seeing her, we slept together and I'm...
Mr. Jenkins: you're what...?
Pandora: he's going to be a father.
Mr. Jenkins: does he know?
Pandora: that's why I come here, I was going to tell him in person but he seems happy and I don't want to come between them. I guess I will find a homeless shelter so I can raise our child.
Mr. Jenkins: why would you do that?
Pandora: my father made me move out of his apartment and now I have nowhere to go.
Mr. Jenkins: I won't let you raise my grandchild on the streets, you're welcome to stay here until you find a place to live.
Pandora: I don't want to be a burden.
Mr. Jenkins: you're not a burden Pandora, I would love for you to stay here and work for me.
Pandora: what will Kolter think?
Kolter: think about what?
Mr. Jenkins: we will talk later boy, you have some explaining to do.
I watched as he quietly walked outside so we could finish talking.
Mr. Jenkins: there is a guest house out back you can stay in. It isn't much but it should be big enough for you and your child when he or she is born.
Pandora: thank you...
I had finally got settled in and had the moving truck sent back to the city after I got the last of my things out of the back, I didn't bring anything except for my clothes and electronics so I could finish my school work even though I wasn't sure what I would do as a full time job which would change since I had a child on the way, I was grateful for Kolter's father allowing me to stay here and work on the farm until I got on my feet.
