Erens POV
Breathing heavy "ahhhh im so tired! finally finished!" I shout, wiping the sweat off my face as I stand on the roof.
After three months our home has been made. I finally finished the roofing I messed up last month falling through it. Mikasa wasn't too enthused on that bruise but we lived. All while Armin led the Eldian military to victory. Running the yeagerist out of town. The thought calmed us to know he was safe but also meant we were that much safer for the time being.
Climbing off the roof, I examine my work. The basic wooden structure was rectangular with the roof meeting at the middle in a point for water slide off left and right. I made the cabin high enough for when we decided we want to make a second floor. Then, Just at the middle section of the cabin is the roof of our porch bending forward. Its fairly basic but it will do. Next ill be working on the brick structure that connects to the side if the house, where we can make a small garden on the roof if we so choose or to do laundry like my mother did but the real point of it would be to give us a form of high ground over our lands if we were attacked. I just never let Mikasa know that part.
"Eren" I hear a soft voice. Moving my attention to see Mikasa's beautiful pale figure in the sunlight, wearing a white blouse, tucked into a long pink skirt. Her hair has grown out enough to lay on her shoulders. Just like when we first entered the cav. Scouts but I think shes been without it so long that she finds it annoying some days. Like today, she always has it pulled back into a ponytail. Sauntering over to me, lugging a wooden bucket of what looks to be water, she stops in front of me "Its time to cool down" She smiles devilishly Pouring the water on me. Reaching to grab the bucket mid pour Mikasa starts laughing and running towards the stream away from the cabin.
"Oh no you don't" I yell, dropping the bucket chasing after her. Now that Mikasa wears skirts her running is alot slower where I can catch her.
When I catch up, I lift her over my shoulder. A squeal of laughter escapes her mouth. I run her into the deepest part of the stream, just under the tiny waterfall.
"Don't put me..." She yelps holding on tight as lay her in the pooling water that covers her body "EREN" she pouts, sitting up in the water that laps just up to her waist, splashing the water up at me.
Trying to block her line of fire my smile widens at her reaction. Splashing back, Mikasa comes charging at me, tackling me into a hug. Losing my balance I grip her waist, using my other hand to lessen the fall into the stream.
Taking advantage of the fall she pins me down, straddling my abdomen. She looks down at me with satisfaction, spitting water from her mouth onto my face.
"Gross, stop it mikasa" I struggle, pushing up on my elbows to hold myself out of the water that consumes my jeans and white shirt that now clings to my body. Hidden slightly by my black, Jean jacket that feels heavier now that its soaked.
"Thats what you get." She says as he hands lay splayed on my chest to hold herself steady.
I lift up to grab her waist, pushing her back on my lap just enough for me to sit up. Grabbing my shoulders for balance her eyes widen.
We pause for a moment as the water runs underneath us. Out of breath, I see her hair tie falling out. I chuckle reaching up to pull it out, allowing her long raven locks to fall on her shoulders.
"Hey why..." she complains, hands reaching up to fix it but I stop her hands, pulling them to my chest. My eyes scan her flushed cheeks. She is so damn beautiful.
"I like it down" I say letting go of her hands to run my fingers through her hair. Watching intently as her expression gets more embarrassed.
"O-ok" she stammers, her hands on my chest move to hold the sides of my waist, thumbs moving mindlessly.
