"Where's my phone?" Yoongi asked when he saw Hobi return empty-handed to the locker rooms. His shirt was already off, and his pants had dropped to his ankles.
"Peri said she'd grab it." It was a simple answer, not meant to harm Yoongi. However, alarms were going off. His heart rate beat faster, his pulse quickened, and his internal panic went alight—Peri had his phone.
The worst possible scenario raged in his mind as he threw his dirty clothes back on. "I'm going to find her. We'll catch up to you later," Yoongi said over his shoulder as he began to step out the door.
"Your phone will be fine!"
"You better not be going off to have se-" Yoongi didn't hear the ending of that sentence before the door to the locker room shut behind him. Although Yoongi could guess what the last word was, between me, you, and the rest of the world, sex was the last thing on Yoongi's mind.
Yoongi rounded the corner to where the dance studio was located. The hallway appeared to be empty. He took each step carefully. His eyes stay vigilant. Just because the hall looked empty didn't mean that it was. Yoongi's ever-observant eyes looked for any clues that Peri might be lingering in the halls.
When Yoongi approached the studio door, he took one final look around the hallway before entering the room. The results were the same: Peri couldn't be seen there, either. Still, he kept his eyes on the door as he entered. They only turned away when Yoongi reached the table, where he rummaged through the stuff left there. His phone was not.
"FUCK!" Yoongi went into a squat as his hands interlaced and were pressed to his mouth to hold the litany of other colorful phrases threatening to come out of his mouth.
Yoongi couldn't tell if his paranoia, fears, or deep, dark secret clouded his mind, but they all seemed exposed. He could only conclude that Peri had his phone, and she was not there.
She knew. She had to have known. It's the only reason why she is not in front of him right now with a bright smile on her face.
But if Peri is not here, where is she? What if knowing what he had done caused Peri to disappear again? He was going to have to find her again. This wouldn't have been a difficult task if it weren't for the fact that the device he could use was currently in her possession.
"FUCK!" Yoongi shouts into the empty room again.
Maybe he is overthinking this. Peri could have gone to the bathroom to freshen herself up, too, or she could have gone ahead to the restaurant before them. Who was he kidding? Peri wouldn't have done either of those things.
Yoongi stood up and marched out of the dance studio. He would get another member's phone and call her to find out where she was.
Yoongi stopped walking.
They would ask why he needed their phones, where she was, and why he couldn't find her. He would have to tell the truth, but he couldn't. The members wouldn't understand.
Jimin. Good ol' Jimin. He knows. He could help. In an emergency situation such as this, Jimin would definitely help! BBBUUUTTTT Jimin also said he wanted no part of this.
Yoongi felt like he was marching in circles. Probably because he was, Yoongi would take three steps toward the locker room to get the rest of the members, only to turn around and take the same steps back to his original spot. Yoongi had to come to terms with the fact that he was going to do this on his own.
Heading back into the studio, Yoongi rummaged through his belongings in search of his wallet and keys before his scatterbrain caught up with him. He remembered leaving those in his studio earlier in the day. Yoongi was really kicking himself now. If he were more focused today, maybe Peri would have never gotten ahold of his phone.
