Chapter XV

Her

I held his shoulders tight as I let his lips invade mine. My eyes were closely shut and my lips were slightly parted, giving him access inside my mouth. His kisses was not wild like the last time. Today it was sweet and hypnotizing, as if enticing me to fall for his trap— when in fact, he didn't need to, because I've already fallen from his trap.

And I lost all my will to even get out.

He bit my lower lips while his tongue restlessly thrust inside my mouth, I moaned softly.

Both his hands wrapped around my waist as he pulled me closer, creating ripples on the calm surface of the sea. My hands instinctively went to his chest when his kisses went wild, like a wild beast, ready to eat his willing prey.

In instant, the traces of the soft and romantic kisses turned into something passionate and wild.

"Adam . . ." I called when I felt breathless in between his kisses.

"Fuck." He pulled away from me and I gasped loud, gathering all the oxygen that left my body.

"I'm sorry."

Natigilan ako sa sinabi niya.

"I didn't mean to." Iling niya pa na nagpakunot sa noo ko.

"What are—"

"The kiss shouldn't have happened." I could see the regrets on his eyes.

"What?" I laughed. "It's not like I didn't like—"

"That shouldn't have happened." Malamig niyang putol sa akin.

My jaw dropped. He looked at me indifferently, giving me a second thought that the emotions I saw earlier were just an illusion.

Parang ngayon lang ako tinamaan ng lamig ng dagat. Hindi ako nakapagsalita at hindi rin siya nagsalita. Tinalikuran niya ako at unti-unti nang humakbang pabalik sa buhangin na para bang kani-kanina lang hindi niya ako hinalikan.

I was left there, unable to utter a word nor do anything.

He must be kidding!

Hope flickering in my chest, yes that's right! He must be kidding! I gathered all my courage to follow his steps. Nang makarating siya sa buhangin ay kaagad niyang ginulo ang buhok at kinuha na ang basang pantalon, piniga niya ito at isinuot habang ako naman ay nanatili sa likod niya, inaantay na balingan niya ako.

"Adam—"

"Cover yourself with this." Putol niya sa akin matapos ibigay ang napiga niya nang damit, kumunot ang noo ko.

"Basa rin naman—"

"At least it'll cover your exposed collar." His tone was cold as an ice!

"Teka lang. Galit ka ba?" Iritado kong tanong. Ni hindi niya ako magawang tingnan sa mata!

"Tsk. I'm not." Talikod niyang muli sa akin kaya hinawakan ko na ang braso niya pero kaagad niyang iniagaw ito sa akin.

Galit ang mata niyang tumingin sa akin.

"Why are you doing this? Dapat hindi mo ako hinayaang halikan ka!"

Nalaglag ang panga ko sa sisi niya.

"Sinisisi mo ba ako?" Hindi makapaniwala kong tanong.

Nag-iwas siya ng tingin at ginulo ang buhok niya.

"Tsk. Umuwi na tayo." Talikod niyang muli sa akin kaya hindi ko na napigilan, marahas kong hinawakan ang braso niya.

"Ano bang problema mo?!" Galit kong tanong.
