〖 Interior Hallway - Day 〗
The hallway was bathed in the soft glow of lights hanging from the ceiling, casting a warm, ethereal light that danced upon the marble floors. The air was filled with the soothing scent of fresh roses, immaculately arranged in vases lining the hallway. Rowan, the distinguished butler with an impeccable sense of duty, strode down the hallway. His polished black shoes made a faint swishing sound against the smooth surface as he walked. Each step was measured and dignified, reflecting the years of elegant service he had dedicated to this grand estate. In his hands, he held a letter, sealed with the crest of the prestigious Azurethorne family. The letter was from [Y/n]'s father. Rowan's mission was clear: to deliver the message directly to [Y/n], without delay or interference.
As he turned a corner, his steely gaze fell upon [Y/n]. She was walking alongside Azul, with the Leech twins trailing on either side of them. But to Rowan's surprise, there was an undeniable change in [Y/n]. Her typically vibrant eyes seemed distant, as if her spirit had vacated her body, leaving behind a hollow gaze. However, in Azul's company, the emptiness within her appeared to find solace, as if welcoming his presence as a balm. Rowan quickened his pace, his mind filled with concern for his lady. He made a subtle attempt to get [Y/n]'s attention, his voice dripping with gentle urgency, "My lady, I have a letter for you from your esteemed father."
However, [Y/n] remained in her distant state, barely acknowledging Rowan's presence. Her undivided attention gravitated solely toward Azul, clinging to his arm as if it were her lifeline in that moment. Startled by her lack of response, Rowan reached out his hand, intending to gently touch her arm, hoping to elicit a reaction. In that moment, Jade stepped forward, his voice laced with restrained authority: "Butler, it is not appropriate to touch [Y/n]." Rowan's brows furrowed in confusion. This was unusual behavior. He couldn't comprehend why he was being prevented from carrying out his duties. "May I ask why, Jade? I am but a servant fulfilling my role in attending to my lady?" Rowan inquired, eager for an explanation that could satiate his curiosity.
Floyd, chimed in with his usual chirpy tone, "Butler, didn't you notice? [Y/n] is not in the mood. It's best to leave her be for now." Rowan's eyes widened, realization dawning upon him. He had been so focused on fulfilling his duties that he had overlooked [Y/n]'s emotional state. With a nod of understanding, he withdrew his hand, his concern for [Y/n] deepening. "I apologize," Rowan said, his voice tinged with remorse. Yet, their words didn't sway him; an unsettling certainty lingered, hinting at a sinister undercurrent at play. His departure was abruptly halted mid-stride by a voice laced with calculation. "Rowan," Azul's voice rang out, its velvety smoothness laced with an undercurrent of authority, "before you depart, there is something I must discuss with you." The words hung in the air like a delicate web, capturing Rowan's attention and holding him captive in its intricate threads. His curiosity piqued, and he turned fully towards Azul, his eyes searching for answers.
