〖 Heartslabyul Dormitory - Day 〗
[Y/n] woke up earlier than expected the next morning, and a sense of relief washed over her. As she stretched her limbs, she felt the residual sleepiness dissipate slowly, feeling the effects of a restless night's sleep. Finally, a night free from the torment of nightmares. However, as she turns her head to look beside her, she realizes that the person she longed to see the most is missing. Riddle's absence sends a pang of sadness through her heart. A sigh escapes [Y/n]'s lips as she slowly sits up, the sheets pooling around her waist. She scans the room, searching for any sign of Riddle, but all she finds is an empty space where he used to be. Thoughts race through her mind, worry clouding her thoughts. Did he leave while she was still asleep? Or did something else happen?
With a heavy heart, she swings her legs over the edge of the bed and stands up, the cold wooden floor sending a shiver up her spine. She walks towards the mirror, her eyes fixed on her own reflection. There, she sees a woman with a furrowed brow, her soft eyes filled with both concern and a hint of longing. [Y/n] can't help but feel a deep sympathy for her own internal struggle as she recalls the events of the previous night. She remembers returning to Riddle's room after her classes, seeking solace and perhaps the reassurance that he was still there for her. But, to her surprise and disappointment, no words were exchanged, no comforts shared. Riddle simply continued sleeping, seemingly unaware of her presence, ignoring her completely.
After a moment of contemplation, [Y/n] pushes herself away from the mirror and walks towards her wardrobe. She opens it up and browses through her collection of clothes, selecting an outfit for the day. As she gets ready, her thoughts drift back to Riddle. She wonders if he had a reason for his indifference or if it was merely a product of his enigmatic nature. Was he still upset with her? Was it so hard for him to reconcile? [Y/n] shuffled her way to the bathroom and sighed softly, resolving to make the best of the day ahead before the duel. She twisted the faucet on and splashed her face with cold water, hoping to shake off any lingering doubts. With renewed purpose, [Y/n] moved through her morning route, brushing her teeth and combing her hair. [Y/n] exits the bathroom, and slips into her school uniform, smoothing her hair and adjusting her tie.
"Rowan..." began [Y/n]. Her words carried a sense of fragility as if they might crumble into nothingness at any moment. "Yes, milady?" Rowan inquires, appearing from the shadows with a bow. [Y/n] takes a deep breath, her eyes searching his face for any sign of hesitation. "Do me a favor. After school, when the duel starts, could you please keep an eye on me from a distance?" Rowan tilts his head slightly, a small furrow forming between his brows. "What for?" [Y/n] hesitates for a moment, her fingers nervously twirling a strand of hair. "I just have a bad feeling about it," she finally admits, her voice tinged with worry. Rowan's expression softens, understanding flickering in his eyes. "Of course, milady," he replies gently. "I will make sure to keep you safe from afar."
