[Y/n] at there, rooted to the spot, as though paralyzed as she struggled to process the words that had just left Riddle's lips. The crowd of students, a sea of faces before them, was equally dumbstruck, each one immobilized by shock and disbelief. "Whoa, hold up! Is that one of your rules too?!" screeched Ace, breaking the stunned silence. The question hung in the air, causing a ripple of murmurs and whispers among the students as they anxiously awaited Riddle's response. "Yeah! If you want the tart gone, let me eat it!" Grim shouted, his voice filled with both anger and desperation. "Housewarden, allow me to apologize. I was the one who suggested making a chestnut tart." Trey said, his voice trembling with regret. Cater chimed in, just as the tension in the room seemed to escalate. "I was a part of that too. We had no idea there was a rule about it!"

[Y/n] struggled to find the right words, as if each syllable she uttered was a Herculean task requiring an immense amount of strength and willpower. There was a subtle twitch in her jaw, betraying the turmoil within her, as a form creased his brow in a minuscule but telling gesture. Despite his best efforts to push away his guilt, it lingered in the corners of his mind and weighed heavily on his conscience. She too was equally responsible for the predicament they now faced. A relentless, nagging feeling gnawed at her thoughts, an insistent questioning of what she could have done differently, a persistent voice that refused to be silenced. What would Riddle's reaction be when she confessed? Would he empathize with her, or would he be filled with anger and frustration? "The making of the tart is not the issue. The issue is bringing it HERE. Today. THAT is the transgression!" Riddle's voice trembled with anger and exasperation, tinged with a touch of disgust as he spoke.

"How can you live by such foolish rules?" Yuuken uttered, crossing his arms defiantly. His eyes glimmered with a mixture of frustration and curiosity, challenging Riddle to justify his seemingly irrational way of life. "What did you just call me? "Foolish"?!" The sheer intensity of Riddle's emotions etched a complex tapestry of lines and creases on his face, while his narrowed eyes and pressed lips conveyed his deep concentration. His muscles tensed as he gripped his staff tightly with knuckles turning white from the strain. He felt an inner fire ignited by Yuuken's sharp words, pushing him to prove his worth and reignite his passion and determination. It felt as if the weight of the insult had cracked open a hidden reservoir of strength within him. Meanwhile, [Y/n]'s countenance reflected genuine anxiety with furrowed brows and pursed lips, displaying an array of worry lines. Her gaze darted around, searching for any sign of resolution or security.

"Everyone, stop! Don't dig this hole any deeper! And Riddle, please try to remember that these are new students who've only been here a few days!" Cater pleaded, his voice filled with concern. However, his pleas seemed to fall on deaf ears as Ace remained resolute in his digging, disregarding the potential consequences. "Nah, bro. I've got a shovel and I am DIGGING. Throwing away a tart to obey some insane rule is about as foolish as it gets." Ace's face contorted, his eyebrows forming a sharp, deep "V" shape as his anger boiled to the surface. Deuce chimed in, his tone wavering with uncertainty, "I agree with Ace. Of course, I understand that rules do need to be followed, but... This is going much too far." Deuce added, his tone wavering with uncertainty.
