We Are Family Pt 1

Five years have passed since Stolas and Blitz were married; a lot of things have changed since then; Loona was now fifteen and Octavia had just turned ten. Loona and Octavia have been going to a fancy private school that Stolas had gotten them into. Unfortunately, kids have been bullying Loona and Octavia because their father had married an imp along with teasing Loona for being a charity case. It got so bad that Loona ended up injuring two boys, putting them in the hospital. None of the teachers would even listen to her or Octavia, sometimes the teachers would be nasty to them for no reason.

Parents have been coming into the principal's office demanding that Loona be expelled and put in a mental asylum. Blitz had to come down to the school and remove both Octavia and Loona from the school. Stolas and Blitz spent the night comforting the girls and assuring them that they'd find another school for them. Stolas and Blitz put their girls to bed before heading into their room for some private time. Later that night, Loona woke up feeling thirsty, so she went down to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. But on her way to the kitchen, she saw her parents' bedroom door open, and she could hear them talking.

She crept over to the door, making sure that her parents didn't see her. "Stolas, I'm worried about Loona. This was the third time that Loona had been sent to the principal's office. I get that she was defending herself and Via but... parents are calling her a savage animal and that I'm to blame." Blitz said to Stolas.

"Blitzy, darling. Don't listen to them." Stolas said, softly.

"Look. I spent my whole life being looked down on because I was a circus freak. I don't want that to happen to Loonie or Via." Blitz stated.

Stolas wrapped his arms around Blitz and pulled him close. "Love. Everything's going to be fine. We'll get through this." Stolas spoke in Blitz's ear.

"Stolas. We looked at every school but none of them will take both Octavia and Loona. They'll only take Octavia, but they banned Loona from every school. Maybe we should look into some schools on Earth." Blitz suggested.

Loona quickly covered her mouth to hide her gasp after hearing what Blitz said. "Blitz. Are you suggesting we send her away?" Stolas asked feeling concerned.

"I know, I don't want to. But right now, we don't have much of a choice." Blitz said.

Loona didn't want to hear her dads talking anymore; she crept back up to her room, crying silent tears. She always thought that Blitz and Stolas were her forever parents when they had adopted her. But now, they were going to send her away after Blitz had promised that he wouldn't do that to her. Loona wiped away her tears; she didn't want Blitz to kick her out. So, she packed a bag of clothes then she wrote a note and left it on the bed. She then snuck down into the kitchen and packed a few snacks and drinks into her bag. She made her way toward the manor's main doors; she took one last look at her home before walking out.

The next morning, Blitz and Stolas were still asleep in bed curled up in each other's arms. At least until Octavia came into their room and started jumping on the bed. "Daddy! Papa! Wake up!" she shouted.

Blitz stirred in his sleep before he opened his eyes to see a worried Octavia. "Via, honey. What did we tell you about jumping on the bed?" Blitz said, still waking up.

"Loonie's gone!" Octavia shouted.

Both Stolas and Blitz immediately sprang out of bed and ran to Loona's room. Loona wasn't in her room; most of her clothes were gone and there was only a note on her note. "Stolas, Loona's run away," Blitz said as he read the note.

Dads,

I'm sorry that I'm a disappointment. I know you two will send me away, so I decided to leave before you kick me out. I get it. You have your perfect daughter already; you don't want a savage animal ruining your lives. I'm grateful that you cared for me. But I knew that this would always be temporary.

Loona

Stolas covered his mouth as tears weld up in his eyes. Blitz

realized that Loona must have overheard their conversation last night. He felt terrible that Loona had run away because of him and the things he had said. He wanted to go out and look for her, but Stolas told him that Loona could be hiding anywhere, and she had been getting better at magic. Stolas taught Loona a few spells; she was as good as Stolas. He told Blitz that he'd go out and find Loona while he stayed with Via. Stolas left for the city to search for Loona; he was praying that Loona was somewhere safe.

Meanwhile, in the city, Loona had been walking for hours. She hadn't slept last night, she was running low on snacks, and she had been hiding in dirty alleyways. A few drunk hellhounds tried to grab her for some "fun" but she ran from them. She was starting to regret running away from her home, but she wasn't willing to go back to be sent away. Flashes from her time in the orphanage hit her like a ton of bricks. The sound of the whips hitting flesh, the shouts of the other hounds calling her a monster. Even the caretakers' voice rang in her ears, "A stupid temperamental hound like you will never be adopted!"

Loona screamed and kneeled to the ground, holding her head. More and more memories surfaced as she screamed in pain. Suddenly, it began to rain, Loona picked herself up and ran to find some shelter from the rain. She ran and ran until she found an abandoned hut in an alleyway. She ran inside soaked from the rain, she started shaking and sneezing. "Maybe I shouldn't have run away," Loona muttered.

Stolas was out in the pouring rain, calling for Loona trying to find her and bring her home. He came to the same hut that Loona had run inside. When Stolas walked inside, he found Loona shivering and out cold on the floor. "Loona!" Stolas shouted as he bent down to pick her up.
