Shortly after Alastor's little stunt in Lust, Kara had to do some collateral damage to make sure that things weren't too crazy. And even though Angel had signed a deal with Kara for protection from Valentino, he still had to work for him. During the therapy sessions that she did with Angel, she did learn more about his life in the mob. She promised Angel that none of this would leave the room, doctor-patient confidentiality. But she was also getting visits from Alastor, asking for advice on the feelings he had with Angel Dust. Though sometimes Alastor took Kara's advice a little too seriously.
One time, Kara suggested to Alastor that he should try leaving small gifts for Angel in his room. And you know what Alastor left Angel? A box of candy hearts; only the candy hearts turned out to be, mini human hearts still dripping with blood. The poor guy ended up getting food poisoning from the candy. Another time, Kara suggested that Alastor tried maybe leaving flowers in his dressing room at the Porn Studio. The flowers ended up being ones that Angel was allergic to and made Angel break out into hives, but it did get him out of the studio early. And that was yesterday; Angel was still not feeling well.
Kara gave Angel a few days off to recover which was something new for Angel, he never got the day off from Val. Kara told Charlie that she was going to her club for the day to make sure things were running smoothly. Everything was the same at the club; demons drinking, couples on dates, a few sinners under her contract working, and the occasional jackass showing up trying to harass the workers. And there was one couple where the partner had proposed to their lover which had cause for celebration. However, tonight would turn out to be a strange night for Kara when she ended up getting an unexpected visitor.
She had just sent some of her employees home while some of them stayed at the motel part of the club. She was cleaning up the place and the bar when the front door had burst open. "Sorry, we're closed," Kara said, not looking at the stranger.
She turned around to face the stranger who had walked in and to her surprise, the stranger was none other than Arackniss. She hadn't seen him since their little first meeting after she had sprung Angel out of the studio. The only thing was that Arackniss was injured. His right eye looked like it had been punched, his upper arms were laced with cuts, and there was a bullet wound where his right lower arm was. "Geez, Arackniss! What happened?! You look like you lost a brawl!" Kara shouted.
She then helped Arackniss to the bar table and grabbed out the first aid kit which she used to start treating Arackniss. "What is it with you and your brother coming into my club with injuries?" Kara muttered as she stitched up Arackniss's arms.
"Should've seen the other guys." Arackniss said, hissing in pain.
Kara had just finished wrapping up Arackniss's bullet wound in bandages, "You got any scotch?" Arackniss asked.
Kara went behind the bar and served Arackniss a scotch on rocks and a Bloody Mary for herself. "I thought you didn't drink." He said as he sipped his drink.
"Yeah well, I can. I just don't do it often." Kara stated, "So, care to tell me why you looked like the Walking Dead coming in?"
"I had a few things I needed to take care of for Pops. It just didn't go as planned." Arackness answered.
Kara offered Arackniss a ride home, he ended up doing a spit take from his drink. Arackniss told Kara that he was fine going by himself, but Kara insisted. She helped Arackniss into her car then she asked him to direct him to where she wanted to drop him off. Arackniss directed her to a giant mansion on a hill that was on the south side of the city. "Woah. I guess being in the mafia pays off." Kara muttered.
"Um, that's my boyfriend's place. Pops doesn't know about it. He's out of town for a few days so I sometimes spend the night here." Arackniss explained.
