I got inspired by my favorite song from The Greatest Showman, The Other Side along with this video of Alastor and Angel singing the song but the lyrics matched them. So, I used the lyrics from the original song and from the video. It's sort of a mashup.
After Angel's near brush with death by Valentino, he was put on imminent bedrest by Charlie's orders. It was no fun being bedridden; Angel couldn't move too much, or the stitches would pop out, and two of his arms were in casts which were the ones that he used to eat, write, and apply his makeup with. Nifty would bring Angel his food to his room, so Angel didn't need to make the trip downstairs. Charlie and Vaggie would sometimes pop over to check up on Angel. Husker hardly comes up to Angel's room; it always ends with Angel playfully fake flirting with Husker. Alastor never came up to check on Angel; those two demons fight worse than cats and dogs.
Alastor was more focused on running the hotel than his feelings. Angel somehow managed to worm his way into the Radio Demons' heart. When his shadow reported to Alastor about the Valentino incident, something inside Alastor made him want to skin that pompous pimp alive. The guy would sometimes head over to Kara's club for drinks and a distraction from all of his emotions. He was a powerful demon who was a cannibal in his other life, he wasn't supposed to catch feelings. And yet, Angel Dust seemed to have captured his heart. Alastor continued to drink away his feelings.
Kara hadn't seen Angel after that night. She didn't blame him; Angel was still mad at her for pulling that stunt and getting him out of the studio without Val's permission. But he was also angry at Kara for keeping the fact that she was an Overlord herself. Angel stayed curled up in bed until he had an unexpected visitor, Kara. "What do I owe the pleasure of seeing Ms. Melody?" Angel asked, teasing.
"Angel, I get it. You're still mad that I showed up at the studio..."
"You left out one key detail, toots." Angel interrupted, "The fact that you're an Overlord?"
"Ok, I deserve that. But I was going to tell you about my power, one day." Kara stated. "I just don't like to abuse my powers. Look, Angel, what Valentino is doing to you... It's inhuman. He treats you like a plaything and drains you dry because of money."
Angel didn't say anything; instead, he walked over to his dresser and grabbed a cigarette with one of his non-bandaged hands. He had trouble trying to get the lighter, but Kara grabbed the lighter, and then she snatched the cigarette from Angel. Angel got annoyed and tried to get it back, but Kara had already pocketed the lighter and tossed the cigarette in the trash. She told Angel that he wasn't going to sit around drowning his pain with cigarettes, she was taking Angel out for the night. Angel told her that Charlie put him on bed rest until his wounds healed. She gave Angel a smirk before she snapped her fingers, and the stitches and bandages were gone.
"Wait, how...?" Angel started to say.
"So how about that drink?" Kara asked.
Angel reluctantly agreed to go out; he quickly got dressed and put on a little bit of makeup before walking out of his room with Kara. Angel wore light makeup, his classic heel boots, and his classic suit. Just as the two of them were about to leave, Alastor popped out of the shadows. He startled the both of them, but he also told Angel that he had a proposition for him. He wanted Angel to sign his soul over to him in exchange for protection. Angel doubles over in laughter; Alastor is willing to help protect him against Valentino. Angel immediately turned down Alastor's offer saying that he wasn't buying it for a second.
Kara asked Angel to wait in her car while she talked with Alastor for a moment. Angel waited outside; when he was out the door, Kara whacked Alastor across the arm. "Seriously, Alastor?!" she shouted, "Angel is not going to make a deal with the Radio Demon!"
