In the Ring of Lust, Asmodeus and Fizzarolli have a day off from their work. After adopting little Oliver and Abigail, the married couple finally had the children they wanted. Fizzarolli adored Oliver, those two were so close that demons would think that they were biologically father and son. Abigail still had some trouble adjusting to having parents. Though she did bond well with Asmodeus and he always knew what to say to her to make her feel special. Asmodeus even learned sign language to help communicate with Oliver better. Abigail and Oliver even played with Fizz's Quieves.
And now that Asmodeus and Fizzarolli have the day off, it gives them a chance to bond more with the kids. Asmodeus cooked up a storm for the kids; Abigail mostly sat on the counter watching Asmodeus cook. She always wanted to be the first to taste the food. Asmodeus would call Abigail his little sous chef. Fizzarolli would always have Oliver in his arms, grooming him or showing Oliver some of his tricks. Fizzarolli came into the kitchen with Oliver just as Asmodeus finished cooking. Abigail had a hard time bonding with Fizzarolli. She wanted to but she just couldn't find that spark.
Abigail watched Asmodeus and Fizzarolli started signing with Oliver. A part of her was a little jealous that Oliver had a strong bond with both Asmodeus and Fizzarolli. She sat at the table, staring at her plate not wanting to eat anything. Fizzarolli noticed that Abigail was feeling a little down, "Hey kid. Why the long face?" Fizzarolli asked.
Abigail didn't say anything; she just stared at her plate, pushing her food around. Fizzarolli walked over to Abigail, trying to talk to her. But Abigail just kept quiet. She excused herself from the table and went up to her room. Fizzarolli looked a little disappointed; he was trying so hard to connect with Abigail just like Asmodeus. "Something wrong, hun?" Asmodeus asked.
"It's Abby. I've been trying so hard to bond with her but I keep messing up." Fizzarolli answered.
"Honey, give it time. She's still adjusting to her new home." Asmodeus assured his lover.
