Kind of gore, but not. Just Superman and X ray vision
Supermans P.O.V

I stared at the ceiling and zoned in and out, Bruce lay next to me and seemed content in the silence too. "Hey. Can I ask you a question?" I asked without redirecting my gaze
"Go ahead." Bruce told me
"What happened with you and Diana? Everyone was sure you were dating for a while but now you're daing me so you clearly aren't dating her but there isn't any tension because of a breakup or anything," I reached my hand up and clenched it, watching as my tendons showed then going into X-ray vision and doing it again, watching the muscels work and the bones move.
"Oh, Diana is like a sister to me. We both got bored of people flirting with us, Flash in her case and I have to deal with it enough as Bruce Wayne. So we got into a fake relationship, anniversaries and all, we never anounced it but people took the hint and stopped bothering us." Bruce explained, that made a lot of things make sense "She's a close friend or a sister and will never be more." he reassured me, he took my face and turned me to look at him. So I looked at him; his spiky black, his piercing blue eyes which analysed everything and missed no detail no matter how small, his pretty pink lips, his defined jawbone... and I kissed him.
"I love you." I said, Bruces eyes went wide
"That's the first time you've said it." he said
"Well get used to it!" I said with my biggest smile, he gave a small smile back.

We both jumped as his comm link rang, he grabbed it
"Hi!" he said happily "Uh- Commissioner Gordon." I had never heard someone change their voice so fast or with so much regret. "Yes, I'll be there in five minutes."

He put down the comm and hugged me, after a few seconds he got up and streached "Do you have a shower?" he asked, I pointed down the hall and he came walked down and after a few minutes he walked back while drying his hair with the towl. Bruce put on his supersuit and kissed me "Can you drop me off in Gotham?" he asked.

I dropped Bruce off and looked at the buildings in annoyance "Their old buildings, built with lead in the walls." Bruce commented,
"You really should do some rebuilding." I said
"I try, it might take another alien invasion to get Gotham to rebuild, we're set in stone like that." Bruce said, I heard the pride in his tone. He was truely devoted to this city
"Their lucky to have you." I said
"What?" Bruce asked
"Gotham," I smiled at him "I have to go face Lois now." I said with a sigh, standing there with my hands on my hips trying to procrastinate the inevitable.
"Good luck." Bruce wished
"I'll need it." I muttered and I flew off to let Bruce get to Commissioner Gordon.

Batmans P.O.V

I talked to Commissioner Gordon about Penguin, we thought he was going to steal the Von Ulster Faberge Egg. I went to hide and wait for Penguins goons to try stealing it so I could get them.

-the plot of Episode 13 in Batman the animated series happens, I'd write it but that feels like plagiarism. The plot basically is two kids (Sherman and Roberta) follow Penguins vulture, Batman get snerve gassed and the kids hide him in their basement, they find his anti-toxin pills and he wakes up just in time to save everybody, the kids former bullies join them and because I mentioned it at the end Shermans mum is annoyed at the mess caused by the fight then gets shocked when she sees batman and the Sherbert's like 'hey Batman, you wouldn't happen to be singel would you?' -

I smiled as the two pairs of kids left to go to their respective mysteries, when Robin and Batgirl grow up and I need new sidekicks, I think i have an idea of who can come next. I put down a dna scanner and an ultra-violet light to look for evidence at crime scenes, both with a little bat symbol on them so they knew who it was from.

It was almost too bad that I was dating Kal, key word almost. I would never cheat or give him up for anyone, I loved him too much. Adopting more ki- getting more sidekicks on the other hand. Well how can I say no?

Okay, maybe I've gotten a bit of a soft spot for kids.

I walked back to the Batmobile and drove back to the Batcave, I glanced at the news and stopped to watch as I saw Kal fighting some guy I could probably reconise by name only. I couldn't help but notice how ineffective Kals fighting style was, there were so many bad moves and- he can't fight. He never had any training. Time to fix that, next time he comes over anyways...

Supermans P.O.V

I fought the urge to groan as Lois started to lecture me, I knew it would just make her angrier and it was at times like these where wished I could just reveal my identity. I conisdered it actually, but there were a couple other people in the room
"-now. Would you care to explain where you went." Lois asked
"Uhm, important business." I said, I couldn't use the 'daily plenet business' excuse with her and it might just be my downfall. I got enough money to eat, by good clothes, pay the bills, and a little extra. So basically enough to get by, that was it. If I was going to get fired because I couldn't use the reason 'league business' and Lois was too thorough of a reporter for me to be able to lie, then she was going to find out I was Superman. She'd probably be overjoyed to be able to get all the details she missed actually.
"What type of business?" she asked
"I can't tell you Lois." I said and she narrowed her eyes.
"Where. Did. You. Go." she demanded
"I can't tell you!" I said desperately, I was beginning to consider calling Bruce and getting him to vouch for me as a rich, influential person. But I feel like that would lead to more problems than solutions.
"If you're withholding a story from me-" Lois started
"No! Nothing like that." I said, she breathed out angrily and stalked away. I exhaled in relief, she was scary sometimes.
