Hello, dear readers,
I wanted to take a moment to share the behind-the-scenes journey of creating this novel. Two years ago, I embarked on this storytelling adventure, only to put it on hold due to personal reasons. It was at the suggestion of a dear friend that I found the courage to start afresh. I am immensely grateful for her support and encouragement – a heartfelt thank you to my gem of a friend.
As I set out to complete the story by the end of the year, I realized it was already October when I picked up my pen again. These three months have been transformative, mending me in many ways and reigniting my passion for writing.
About the story itself, it began as a tribute to my favorite BL couple. However, as I delved into the narrative, I discovered my unique voice and introduced new characters who became the heartbeat of the tale, eventually taking on the role of main characters.
During the writing process, Mew and Gulf ceased to be mere characters; they became the names I bestowed upon my creations. At times, I found myself contemplating whether I should retain these names or rebrand them. If any of you, my readers, have suggestions on this matter, please feel free to share them in my conversation board.
I made a conscious decision not to elongate the storyline, leaving certain aspects unexplored with the intention of crafting prequels or sequels – a prospect I'm still uncertain about. Should you, my readers, express interest, I am open to creating individual stories for each couple in the novel.
