"Ms.Caballero, do you have an idea on how to answer this problem?"biglang tukso sa'kin ni Professor Mai.
Professor ko sa math.
Napansin at nahuli niya ata akong nakatulala sa isang sulok at inakalang hindi ako nakikinig.
Lahat ng mga mata ay nakatingin sa'kin, mga matang sinasabing syempre naman Prof. si Samantha iyan eh.
Unti-unting naproseso sa utak ko ang paliwanag ni Professor Mai kanina kung pa'no kunin ang ganito.
Agad akong nagbigay ng maikling ngiti at tumayo, upang sagutan ang problemang nasa board.
Problema ko nga hindi ko masolusyunan, ito pa kaya, Charot.
Agad akong nagsulat sa board at isinulat ng maayos ang solusyon ko kung paano kinuha ang sagot.
Pabalik na sana ako sa upuan ko ng biglang umubo si Professor Mai, ipinapabatid na may sasabihin siya, kaya tumigil ako at hinarap siya.
"Can you kindly explain it to your fellow classmates, on how did you solve the problem that lead you to its answer?"sabi ni Professor, mahahalata sa mukha niyang, ako'y hinahamon niya.
Ako'y tumango na lamang at tumayo malapit sa isinulat ko.
"There problem is 4y = 5x -7 and to get the solution of it, we need to rewrite the form of 4y = 5x -7 to the form of Ax + By = C. So first, we need to add -5x on both sides, to cancel the other 5x. So now, we have the problem of -5x + 4y = 5x -5x -7 and now, it leave us of -5x + 4y = -7, which is, the answer to the problem"I explained, everyone stops from doing unnecessary things and listened as I started to speak infront.
After analyzing it for whole five seconds, including my professor, they all clap their hands for me with a smile.
"Good job, Ms.Caballero, I'm very impressed on the skill you got and how you clearly explain it"Professor Mai commented.
Ì smiled and starts to go back to my seat, Ms. Mai made a signal again that she wants to say something.
I don't have choice, but to face her with a smile.
"Yes professor Mai?something's wrong?"I asked.
"Not at all, but, there's something missing on your answer"Professor Mai commented as she hold her chin, observing me if how I'll find out my mistake.
What?ano na naman kaya, that's all I cẳn remember from his explanations though.
My classmates starts to look at me, intensely.
Fvck.
I noticed that, a one boy on the back is observing me too, he's placing his arm on the armchair as his palm cup his chin, while looking at me.
The heck?
"Did you find it out?Ms.Caballero?" Professor Mai remind me.
I'm ready to shake my head and apologize, but, the boy I noticed from the back, raised his hand, with a confident aura.
"Yes, Mr.Oresco?"Professor Mai asked.
"I volunteer to help, Ms.Caballero"he said.
24 letters and 6 words, got my heartbeat running so fast, for the first time again.
"Do you agree Ms.Caballero that Mr.Oresco will help you?"Professor Mai asked while looking at my place.
I slowly turn my head up, from watching the ground to slowly nod.
Tila bumagal ang oras nang magsimula na siyang maglakad palapit sa'kin.
G@go, ang pogi.
Hindi ko na alam kung ano pa ang mga sumunod na nangyari, basta, hindi ko lang napansin na narito na siya sa harap ko.
"Let's give them a hands, shall we?"Professor Mai uttered and clap her hands, where my fellow classmates follow her.
Halos kuryentihin ako ng bigla niyang mahawakan ang kamay ko, pagkatingin ko roon, hawak-hawak ko pa ang marker.
T@ngina?sana hindi nila isipin na may balak akong iuwi ang marker ni Professor.
Nang makuha na niya ang marker sa kamay ko ay agad niya akong binigyan ng maikling ngiti bago humarap sa board.
Nilalandi ba ako nito?
"So as we can see, it give us an answer of -5x + 4y = -7. So, the missing thing here is that, we have to add -1 both sides. And after that, we get the final answer"he explained while consistently keeping an eye contact to our classmates.
He take a glance on me, his eyes are secretly saying did you get my point?
I get myself up and put a smile before facing them again.
"Yeah, he's right, which led us with the answer of 5x - 4y = 7. With a solution of multiplied by -1 in each digit. And that's how we get the answer for the problem 4y = 5x - 7. Always remember the signs: let me remind you again of those as p as positive and n as negative"I speaked as my confidence come back.
"P plus P is also a P, P plus N is the bigger number between that carries the sign and also vice versa. N minus N will lead us also a N, N minus P is the bigger number between that carries the sign and also vice versa. N multiply by N will be a postive and N multiply by P will be a negative and also applicable in division such as P divided by N will be a negative but, P divided by P is postitive"I said as I bow a little to give respect.
Should I say thankyou, to him?for saving me?but, maliit na kakulangan lang naman iyon eh. Dahil, diba, hindi naman masyadong required pero parang need ko pa rin.
Pero, to inform, this is the first one, first man to be more specific, to help me in Math. I was very manifesting for it, because I want someone, specifically a man, to compete with me in Math.
I can't deny that I might be jealous but, I will be more amaze by it. And, looks like, I finally found one. The question is, can we stand each other?especially in this kind of situation?
All learners clap their hands to us, including Ms.Mai and what is his name again?o, I don't know, but I know his surname, what it is again?ah, Mr.Oresco.
