KABANATA X - First Interaction

Samantha Liya POV:

"Kanina pa nakatulala si Samantha, diba, ang lalim ng iniisip siguro niyan"bulong ni Leicel kay Jovie, ngunit maririnig ko pa rin.

It's now lunch time, and we're in the restaurant right now.

Restaurant ni mom and dad, speaking of them, I shouldn't bring them up, it's stressing me off.

"I'm totally okey guys and, yeah, Leicel is right, I was in my deep thoughts."

Ngumiti naman si Leicel na para bang nanalo sa lotto dahil sa sinabi kong tama siya sa hinala niya.

"Ano ba kasi 'yang iniisip mo?na umabot sa pangyayaring natutulala kana riyan?"tanong ni Jovie at saka hiniwa ang steak na kinakain niya at sinubo ito.

"Well, it's about earlier-"I didn't finish mg sentence when Raven interrupted the conversation.

"I'm assuming that it's about Mr.Oresco earlier"Raven said.

I rolled my eyes to side before taking a sip on my cappuccino.

"Unfortunately, yes. Parang may something kasi sa aura niya kanina eh, hindi ko lang matukoy kung ano"sabi ko at napatingin sa magandang view sa labas.

Kung saan ay, may fountain sa gitna, at may dalawang pathway sa gilid nito na gawa sa pekeng damo. Sa pinakagilid naman ay, may isang bench sa kaliwa at kanan, na napapaligiran ng maraming daisy at tulips.

"Baka crush mo na siya?"tanong ni Raven na nagpatawa sa tatlo habang ako ay napatingin sakaniya na parang hindi makapaniwala sa sinabi niya.

"Are you being serious right now, Raven?why would I develop feelings to a person I just met?"tanging naging komento ko nalang.

"Aw, speaking of kakakilala mo lang sakaniya, yan pala ang dapat kong sasabihin last week"sabi ni Jovie at napatampal nalang ng noo, na tila nakonektado na ang lahat ng impormasyon.

Bahagya namang napatingin si Shan sa relo niya at ngumiti ng maikli."Go ahead, Aiye. We still have 35 minutes before our next class"Shan said and fixed his position and ready to hear the tea.

"Speaking about him, I heard that, his daddy is the owner of this university and have a lot of business. About his studies, he just transferred here last monday though. There's no exact reason that he transferred here, but there are rumors spreading that, he requested it, because he's doing well on his last university, and he just immediately requested to transfer another university, which is here"Jovie spilled the tea.

"As I also heard, he's a campus crush daw, especially to his past universities. But, being a campus crush for almost 12 years, he never have a girlfriend or never date a girl. His parents never pressure him about that, and never pair him to the bussiness partners child. That's all the information I got"Jovie said as she lean back to her chair and take a sip of her strawberry smoothie.

"Grabe yorn, Jovie ha. Halos kumpletong impormasyon na 'yon"Raven commented as he open his palm to apir with Jovie's palm.

"Very correct ka, Raven. I thought that you don't have a tea to spill because you've been silent on spilling teas"Leicel said as she flashes a smile and slices a red velvet cake and place it on her plate.

"I'm so surprised on the skill you have, Aiye. I'm thinking and seeing in the future that, you're gonna be a news reporter"Shan joked, everyone laugh on that joke.

"Please excuse me guys, sorry to interrupt the conversation, I'm just gonna go to the bathroom for a minute, just continue with the chikahan moment"I informed as I stand up, to take my leave.

They just nod a little and focus again about the teas.

I start to take my steps and leave our table.

As I was in my way to the bathroom, because I didn't notice that I was zoning out, while making my way, a waiter just appear infront of me, going to my direction.

Gladly, someone pulled my arm as I get back to my senses.

Wait..someone pulled my arm?!what the heck?

I immediately glanced to the person that pulled me, to prevent me from bumping the waiter.

I'm surprised that I met him again. Mr.Oresco.

He's still holding my arm, as I lift my head up a little to see his face.

Damn, he's tall.

I distance myself from him a little, causing him to finally stop pulling my arm a little. I think, he doesn't notice lang, like, he forgot.

"Ahm, sorry-"
"Thankyou-"

Nagsabay pa talaga kami magsalita, napatingin naman kami sa isa't isa.

"You go first"he gracefully said as he gave a little smile to me.

"So I was saying, thankyou, for pulling me and preventing me to bump thề innocent waiter because of my carelessness"I thanked and apologize as I bow a little to show that I'm genuine about my message.

He smile softly."You're welcome, Ms.Caballero. No worries, just be in your consciousness next time"he said.

A smile curves up on my lips, which is unusual.

I nodded as understanding."May sasabihin ka kanina?"I remind.

"Oh yes, I was about to apologize too. I'm so sorry that I just pulled you out of nowhere without your permission. I was so concerned lang talaga kanina that something might happen if I didn't make a move to prevent you from bumping that waiter"he apologized.

I chuckle a little."I was shocked din kanina a little when someone pulled me, pero, I just realized that, I deserve it and that's the right thing to do at that moment."

We are about to continue our conversation when someone interrupted our conversation because someone is calling him.

"Bro, masyado bang mabigat ang utensils at natagalan ka riyan?o masyado kang nag-enjoy diyan"his one friend commented as he really emphasized the word nag-enjoy in the sentence.

He just shake his head from his friend comment and slowly hold the back of his head, signaling something.

"Sorry to end our conversation, but, I think I need to go back to our table now. Knowing them, they're just gonna keep pastering me or us, if I don't be with them, as their accompany"he informed as he slowly give a smile, revealing his two little dimples in both sides of his cheeks.

"O-oh yes, as you should. Again, thankyou and I apologize, if you weren't there, I'm now having a deep embarrassment here, so thankyou, Mr.Oresco. See you around"I said and gave a little smile and bow.

Yeah, it's my hobby to bow to the people if I'm giving them a respect.

"You're right, see you around, Ms.Caballero. Have a great day!"he softly said as he take his leave.

I turn my back and start going to the bathroom.

My friends are now thinking why did I take so much time to wash my hands.
