KABANATA XV - Tutor

Samantha POV:

"You finished the homework in mathematics, Sam?"Raven asked me out of nowhere, and take note that my eyes almost fallen asleep.

So...should I thank Raven for doing that?or nah?but, it have a good effect naman. So, thankyou nalang, in my mind ofcourse.

I nodded my head."Yeah, it's not that hard, which is strange."

Napasimangot naman siya sa naging komento ko."I'm stuck in number two, I can't analyze it properly. Can you teach me?"he asked as he give a glance to his paper before meeting my eyes.

I check the time. "It's already 1:40, Rave. Even though it wasn't that hard for me, I used 1 hour to finally gets it. So.."I paused before bringing out my paper, that contains of homeworks. "Here, take mine. I'll just explain to you, once we have time"I said as I gave a smile and handed him my paper.

His face light up after hearing my sentence and immediately gently accepted the paper. "Yes, thankyou, Sam. I'll pay you a coffee later"he informed me, I chuckled.

"We just had our coffee with the squad yesterday. Take a break from coffee, you know what, just pay for my street foods later. Deal?"I said.

Nakakasawa na kayang magkape. Baka mas lumala nerbyos ko pot@.

He chuckles and nods before going back to his seat and copied my homework. He may find it strange that I shared my homework. I don't really share my homework, because for me, it means I just wasted my hardworks on working on it, especially if I stay up late just to finish it. I just politely declined to share it sometimes, not all the time. Sometimes, I also share it, like just now, because I didn't really have a hard time answering those, just a little.

Since I don't have a thing to do, I decided to roam my eyes around. Out of nowhere, while still roaming my eyes around the classroom, my eyes and his met.

We were having an eye contact for almost fifteen seconds, without one of us broking it. I keep the eye contact because I thought, he would break the eye contact immediately, but he prove me wrong.

I thought, he's gonna break the eye contact already, but he even flashed a sweet and soft smile to me, making me smile a little.

The eye contact between the two of us maintained for almost twenty seconds. I-I can't really bare his eyes, his eyes is not just looking at me, it's saying something that I can't figure it out yet. Since I'm now too weak, not because my eyes is now hurting, but because of the way he looks at me and keeps the eye contact, I broke the eye contact and starts to open the mathematic book, even though it's not my plan and never be, but because of what just happened, I don't have choice but to keep myself busy to avoid his eyes and glaze.

I checked the time in the wall clock in this room, it's now currently 1:55. After two minutes passed, I saw Raven walking towards to my seat, probably to return my paper.

As he reached my seat, he flashed a smile and fixes his hair. "Thankyou, Samantha. I really appreciates it t—wait, since when did you read a math book?that's new"he commented.

Ngayon pa lang.

"Ah, since yesterday. I'm preparing for suprise math exam of Ms.Mai "I lied, caught the lie please.

He looks at me from head to toe, scanning and observing me. I crossed my shoulders in my chest and looks at him back.

He smiles. "I'll caught the bit"

After that, he takes his leave, leaving me surprised. Does that mean, he knows that I'm lying infront of his face?damn, I'm really bad in lying.

"Everyone, get inside already and stop holding your phones. Ms.Mai is finally here"one of our classmate announced, she's Jen, our girly announcer of teachers arriving.
