Levi's P. O. V

The moment our eyes met, memories came rushing back all at once.

Without thinking, I started walking towards her. I could see the flash of panic in her eyes as she quickly grabbed her things, looking ready to make a run for it. But before she could stand, my hand reached out, catching hers.

That simple touch hit me harder than I could explain, like a thousand unspoken words all at once. But the warmth of her hand slipped away as she pulled it back, breaking the connection as abruptly as it had begun.

"(Y/N), we need to talk." I said, my voice sounding too desperate.

She wouldn't even look at me as she walked away, leaving me trailing behind her like some lost puppy. Before I knew it, we'd ended up outside the café.

Just when I thought she was going to leave for good, this time, she was ready to run, I reached out, grabbing her by the hips and pulling her back to me. I couldn't stand it anymore.

I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her as tightly as I could, like if I let go, she'd vanish into thin air. Years of buried feelings were fighting their way out to me, and I wasn't going to let her slip away again.

"Please, (Y/N), don't go. Just hear me out" I pleaded, my voice choked with emotions I couldn't contain. Tears welled up in my eyes, and before I knew it, they streamed down my face, soaking into her shoulder.

She stood frozen in my arms, her whole body stiff and tense. I could tell she didn't know what to do, and was caught off guard by the whole situation. The hesitation was all over her, like she was trying to sort through a mess of emotions she hadn't been expecting.

"I've missed you so much," I choked out, my voice shaky. Regret, crave, it all came spilling out, words I never thought I'd get the chance to ever say.

For a moment, it was like the world around us just stopped. The noise of the city blurred away, leaving just the two of us in this hug.

"I never meant to hurt you," I continued, my words trembling with regret.

"Everything was a mess, and I didn't handle it well. But I've never stopped thinking about you, about us."

(Y/N) didn't say a word, but her silence was louder than anything she could've said. It was like every unsaid feeling, every hurt, and every memory hung in the air between us, thick and impossible to ignore.

"I don't have all the answers, (Y/N), but I need to make things right. Please, talk to me. Let me explain," I begged, holding on to her tighter like she might vanish any second.

The weight of what I just said felt huge, mixed with the vulnerability of my tears. I held my breath, just waiting for her to say something or at least give me a hint that she understood or maybe even forgave me.

"Please... go away..." She said as she tried to slip away from me.

"No, no, no, please!" I said hugging her tighter than before, crying my heart out.

I sob hard on her neck.

"Let me go." she firmly said, trying to wiggle away from me again.

"No, never" I desperately said like a child in tantrums.

I held her face with both of my hands, careless of people who passed by.

"How are they? Our children-" I got cut off by my own sob.

"How are they, baby?" I said looking straight at her eyes, still crying as I put our foreheads together.

"Please tell me they're fine and well" I said beggingly as I mentally pray that they are fine.

Her breath caught at what I said, and suddenly, everything felt a lot heavier than it already was. I didn't even care that people around us were staring. It was just (Y/N) and me, lost in our own little world.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

When he mentioned our kids, it felt like a punch to the gut, reminding me of everything I'd been trying to ignore. It was a truth I thought I had put behind me, but now that I was face-to-face with Levi, I couldn't pretend it didn't matter anymore.

"We don't have children" I said quickly, barely above a whisper. He can't know. If he finds out, he'll take them away from me..
