15. Two enemies in a group☠️

Jayden's POV

I watched Hailey as she set up the apparatus for the practical. How can I pretend it's not her?

If I must be sincere to myself she's the only girl that has gotten my attention since I broke up with Avalon. I really don't want to develop feelings for her and that's why I act so mean to her.

I recalled the very first day I met her, she was with a lady in a nurse's regalia. She didn't notice me though but I couldn't stop staring at her.

When she walked into the class all eyes were on her. The biology teacher had asked her to introduce herself and she had this boldness in her that made me admire her the more.

Then when she entered the agric class she rolled her eyes at me and sat beside a lean girl who's name I've never considered knowing till today. I thought she was going to sit beside me like other girls would but she didn't, she's not loose.

Why the hell am I having these silly thoughts?

"Will you just stand there doing nothing?"

I couldn't hide the smirk forming on my face. The expression on her face is priceless. Guess she's looks cuter with a frown. She looked at me obviously frustrated before rolling her eyes and I hissed loud enough for her to hear.

We commenced with the practicals. I was carrying it out while she jot down the reading. We'll plot the graph later on and submit it tomorrow.

Hailey wanted to rinse the liquid off the beaker but it mistakenly dropped and broke into tiny pieces.

"Oh shit!" We screamed in unison.

Mr Chinka whatever came over.

"Who dropped the beaker?"

I looked at Hailey then at the physics teacher and decided to own up.

"I did"

"No I did!" She cut in.

"Hailey... I mean sir, I accidentally let it fall" I argued.

"That's a lie Jayden. Sir I let it drop" she said with a frown.

Mr physics teacher let out a frustrated sigh.

"You know what? You both will buy a beaker each while submitting your graphs tomorrow. Jayden come with me for another beaker"

I followed him and got another beaker for the practical. Just few seconds I left and she's drawing already. Is she that obsessed?

We continued with the practical but not without throwing words at each other. I was humming a song which angered Hailey. I really want to make her mad, she has annoyed me enough for today.

"Just shut up Jayden" she said angrily.

"Okay. I'm so not sorry ma'am" I mocked and she rolled her eyes. I stared at her in awe, such a stubborn girl.

"I hate practicals" she muttered and I chuckled.

"What?" She asked with a frown.

"What?" I raised a brow.

"Stop staring at me" she complained.

"Well before we started you said I should pretend it's not you Hailey" I mimicked her and she rolled her eyes. Why is she fond of doing that? I think her eyes just can't stick to it's sockets.

"I never told you to stare" she said visibly annoyed.

"How did you know I'm staring? It's means you were looking at me too".

Our classmates just stood confused staring at us. Some were giggling. I seriously found it funny plus the look on her face.

"Why should I look at you?"

"You're in a better position to tell me why miss Hailey..." I added laughing in the most annoying way I could. I still glued my eyes to her.

"Jayden don't you dare me" she screamed.

"One more word from you too and I'll have you out of here. Go resolve issues with your boyfriend outside!"
The physics teacher scolded.

I tried hard not to laugh. Of all the girls? Hailey can never be my girlfriend, she's an annoying bitch.

"That's never gonna happen" she said with a scoff.

Mira looked at us and shook her head. Andriano laughed and whispered into Ivy's ear. She's his partner and the girl he's been longing to date, it's quite obvious she's into him too, perfect match! Mira was paired with Romeo, a very funny but dumb guy and me? I'm paired with the most annoying girl I've ever come across
I know I'm annoying but not half of hers. Her's I think is hereditary.

Mira's POV

Practical with Romeo was full of laughter but I had to do all the work. Worse still I'll have to tutor him during lunch hour. It would have been after school but I have a party to attend. And tutoring him after school is like pouring water on a stone.

By the way where's Hailey? She and Jayden are just silly kids. Their drama was very funny besides Jayden can be annoying atimes. Quite unfortunate they'll have to work together in plotting the graph.

Jayden walked up to me with Andriano. Hailey came from behind...

"How was practical today?" I teased Jayden.

"He's such a jerk" Hailey muttered.

"I heard that" Jayden cut in.

"You guys will make a wonderful couple" Andriano added.

"Oh please!" They shouted in unison.

"How do you guys do this here?" Hailey asked.

"You'll have to plot the graph with Jayden" I replied.

"Why!" It came up more like an exclamation than a question.

"It's compulsory" Jayden replied with a grin. Hailey hissed while Jayden laughed. He's obviously enjoying everything. His hobby is getting on people's nerves.

"As for me Ivy got me covered." Andriano chipped in.

"I'm tutoring Romeo" I blurted and they all laughed.

"So Hailey dear, you'll either stay in Jayden's house or yours this is team work okay and I promise he doesn't bite" Andriano informed her dying in laughter. Hailey's face looked so hilarious, I had to fight back the feat of laughter so she won't look betrayed.

"It's definitely not gonna be my house" Hailey opposed.

"Not in mine too" Jayden cut in. He's really making things more difficult.

"We'll stay twenty minutes after school. I believe he's not dumb "she said in an annoying voice.

Thank goodness Jayden didn't retaliate this time.

" So are we still gonna make it to Tony's party tonight? " Andriano asked and we all chorused a YES!
