19. I don't want her around me🙅

MIRA'S POV

It's been a week and Jayden and Hailey haven't spoken to each other, not even their usual fight. Hailey started avoiding us because Jayden obviously didn't want her around.

She now spent most of her time teaching a group of girls dance steps for a football match that'll occur between our school and another, LHS. Jayden walked towards me and sat beside me on the bench I was sitting to watch them practice because obviously that sports thingy isn't for me. I've watched Hailey do volleyball though and even though I'm not so much of a volleyball lover, I know she's good.

I inhaled the strong scent of Jayden's cologne and a smile played on my lips. He's got nice taste. I angled my neck in order to get a good view of the rare specimen in front of me... Most times it feels like he's the most handsome man on earth. He doesn't even realize I'm staring and I seriously don't want him to because he's going to look at me with that weird questioning look on his face. He used a towel to dry his sweat and mehn! I couldn't help but admire him. He's one he'll of a hottie....

"Mira?" Jayden asked in a concerned tone bringing his face closer to mine as if to find out what was wrong with me.

You're wrong with me Jayden

Of course I didn't say that out loud. I stared at his Hazel Green orbs and I felt so lost in his eyes.

"Mira are you okay?" He asked a second time and that brought me out of my trans.

"Uhm.... Yes Jayden I'm fine. I just was wondering if...." I couldn't complete my words when his hands cupped my cheeks and I gulped.

"I don't think you're really fine Mira. You can tell me if you're not feeling so well and I'll drive you to the hospital right away" he said to me so warmly and I felt so loved. I thought about something to say cause it felt like I was utterly speechless. His thumb slightly grased my right cheek and I felt a tingling sensation all over.

"Can Hailey join us for the match tomorrow?" I asked feeling kind of nervous. He dropped his hands from my face while his face that was once warm with affection turned cold all of a sudden and a frown was visibly seen.

"I don't want her around me. You guys can hangout with her if you wish..... I want to be alone." He replied and turned to the other side looking at the field and totally ignored me.

"Jayden..." I called

"I'll catch you later okay? I have practice, break is over" he rushed his words and ran off the field.

"Shit!"

I know Hailey went too far; that video really went so viral and was the talk of the whole school for the past five days. Those days Jayden was so frustrated in as much as I really like Hailey and I want us be friends, I can't let go of my best friend. We've been friends for like forever. I suddenly found the match boring so I stood up from the bench and walked inside. I bumped into someone and yeah! It's Hailey.

"Hi!" She greeted with a smile.

"Yeah hi! Are you coming for the match tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course yes but not with you guys. He doesn't want me around so I have to keep my distance". She said with a flash of hurt which soon disappeared and was replaced with a lovely smile.

"You're done with the practice?"

"Yeah. They picked up quite well. I'm really sure they'll perform very great tomorrow"

"KK. That's great. I'll be expecting you tomorrow then?" I asked while hugging her.

"Sure" she blew kisses at me before running stylishly to God knows where. Does she ever get tired?

HAILEY'S POV

"Mum! Are you home already?"

"Hey dear!" I heard her voice as she came down the stairs. Her stomach was increasing by the day and she added a little flesh.

"Hey mum!"

"Baby I'm so sorry I've been too busy for you" she said apologetically and I smiled at her.

"It's fine but u have something to talk to you about"

"What could that be dear?" She asked and I narrated my whole ordeal with Jayden. Most especially to quarrels between us both.

"You know what you did was wrong right?" She asked and I nodded.

"You really need to apologise to him baby girl" she added.

"But mum..."

"No buts girlie. Forget what Mira and the other guy said and follow your heart. Put pride away. You know if you're at peace with others then you'll be light inside."

"I'll try apologising to him, he's an annoying jerk."

"I'll leave that to you. Just do what you think is right." She said and patted my shoulder.

"Thanks mum" I hugged her tight. I've told her about tomorrow already so she won't get worried about me.

"You sure you're okay now?" I asked my mum. She had a little fever so I had to stay back and look after her. I took a look at my watch and sighed. The match is obviously in the second half but I'm still not going to miss it.

I go into my room and quickly change into a blue striped cropped top that stopped above my navel and denim baggy shorts. I put on my sneakers and a small bag which was clasped to my waist. I just use it to keep my phone while my earpod is in my ear. I was almost at the door before I remembered my cardigan!

Okay not like I love hoodies an cardigans so much but I've had cold issues since I was a child and I'm an asthma patient too. It's been long since I had an asthma attack and I seriously didn't wish to have one. I put on the cardigan leaving the buttons open. I ran off to the match... Note that sarcasm??? I obviously got a cab. I got there searching for Mira with my eyes.

"There she is" in the middle of so much crowd and I'm very late. I'll have to linger around.

Just then my eyes caught sight of Jayden, I never knew he was very good at sports judging by how secluded he always is. Andriano was the goal keeper for their team. The dancers must have done alot, they just stood and waved stylishly whenever our school was taking the lead. Just three minutes more and the match would be over.

I turned to catch a glimpse of the environment but then my eyes caught sight of a cute little girl in tears. what's wrong with her? I wondered. I walked up to her and bent low to her height.

"What's wrong with you cutie pie?" I asked caringly and she sniffed....

I'm really very sorry for the short chapters though and I promise to make it longer though.
