16. Truth or dare 1 🍾

Hailey's POV

After school I went to the school garden, that's where Jayden insisted we stayed to plot the graph. I just needed to carry extra patience with me to avoid doing what the both of us will regret. He wants to act tough with me but I'm even tougher. Silly Jayden, he's such a dick.

I looked around for Jayden but I couldn't find him. I'm quite sure he's not here yet just to get on my nerves. I refuse to be annoyed by him, he's obviously not worth my anger.

I turned on my boomplay and put on Despacito. I can whine for that song. I sang and danced to it at the same time.

"𝐷𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑜, 𝑄𝑢𝑖𝑒𝑟𝑜 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑖𝑟𝑎𝑟 𝑡𝑜 𝑐𝑢𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑝𝑎𝑐𝑖𝑡𝑜🎵🎶🎶

I was interrupted by the sound of someone clapping behind me... Jayden... That asshole!

"If you're handed a microphone, once it comes in contact with your voice I bet it's gonna explode" he said admist laughter leaving me really annoyed.

"I'm in a good mood today and unfortunately nothing you do can change that... Jerk face" I said with a chuckle while I started humming one of Beyonce's songs.. Now is definitely his turn to frown.

I took my graph book plotting mine alone while he did his. We eventually had nice graphs with the same slope. I guess it's good to have two smart people in the same group. We both stood up to leave while he opened a bottle of soda, the content poured on the hoodie. That actually got me really mad. It's quite obvious he did that on purpose because he smirked and muttered I'm sorry in a mocking tone.

I pretended as if I didn't notice him and brought out my small water bottle from my back pack. I didn't think twice before pouring the remaining water on him. It wasn't much though but it was just enough to get him mad. Thankfully he wore a white shirt.

"Omgosh I'm so sorry" I feigned sorry using my dusty hands to check the cloth out and trust me, it did a very good job on the shirt. He fumed in anger.

"Don't ever mess with me dude!" I said with an evil grin. I pulled off my hoodie and kept it in my bag before walking out not forgetting to let out a long hiss. I have a party to attend this evening so I need to be home on time before Mira arrives.

The door bell rang and I ran to the door, it's definitely Mira.

"Hey Mira" I greeted as she came in.

"You have a wonderful house, it's beautiful" she squeaked.

"Thanks. Is this what you're wearing to the party?" I asked after checking her out.

"Nope... I'll change here." She said showing me her clothes.

"I hope we'll be able to make it on time" I said and she nodded as I took her round the house. She kept on complimenting the artworks on the wall. I also showed her my gym and she promised she'll come another time... At least to try out some of the equipments in there.

"Jayden's so gonna love this! He's in love with sports" she said excited and I sighed. I'm planning on what next to do to that ugly thing... I just can't get myself to agree to the fact that he's actually a hottie. An annoying cute fool.

"Do you know Jayden from anywhere?" She asked bringing me out of my thoughts.

"No" I replied nonchalantly.

"Then why are you guys like water and fire?" She asked. While I shrugged.

"That's definitely his problem" I cut in.

We got to the party venue and mehn! It wasn't as nice as I thought. The stench of alcohol filled the room coupled with the loud music. Mira and I had to push ourselves through stinky drunk dancing teens. We searched for Jayden and Andriano.

"Hey guys!" I greeted with a wave as we hot closer to them. They responded to my greeting except Jayden of course. I bet he's learnt never to mess with me.

"Hailey you look so good" Ivy said with a grin and I flashed her a smile. She's like the friendliest person I've met here in New York.

"You don't look bad either" And yeah that's true. Ivy is very beautiful blonde with a very nice slender figure. She dyed part of her hair pink and i must say it looks really good on her.

The party went on while Andriano kept us laughing really hard with his never ending jokes. After some time Mira left to meet her boyfriend. I didn't bother going to dance, I prefer watching them from where I was seated while I sipped my drink.

Andriano was dancing with Ivy while Jayden was at the other side drinking. I love the way he styled his hair and I love the fact that he's annoyed because of me. I made sure I laughed a lot around him to annoy him more and trust me.... It did.

I was starting to get bored so I took out my phone and retired to Wattpad. There was no recent update from my favorite authors so I decided to check out my other social media platforms.y fans were asking for more dance videos and I promised I'll make it up to them. I'll definitely need to go back to doing those things that make me happy, enough of trying to be a shadow of myself. My favorite cousin Emma recommended latest Naija songs he felt I should try out and I smiled. He's also a dancer on tiktok with a lot of followers, I think he's been verified already.

I took my attention to the party once more and I caught sighed of Jayden. He was with a green haired girl, so slender an not so pretty.. I thought as much, he's got such a bad taste I said to myself...

"We're playing spin the bottle, you wanna join?" Mira asked and I nodded. I went over to where they were playing. We sat forming a circle and I listened to them as they listed out the rules of the game. Anyone who couldn't answer a truth or perform a dare would have to take two shots of the colourless liquid in that bottle. I couldn't tell the name of the drink but it's definitely very alcoholic....

Ivy was the first and I got to ask her.

"Truth" she answered with a light smile.

"Can you tell us who you'll kiss here if u were asked to? " I asked and she blushed.

"Andriano of course" she said as she winked at him. He was grinning this time.

"I'll love to kiss you too sweetie" he said in his usual flirtatious tone and Ivy's face was obviously as red as a tomato.

The game went on and on without the bottle touching me. Just then the bottle pointed at Mira and Jayden, I just hope they don't try anything stupid.

"Jayden, truth or dare?" She asked with a grin. Without wasting much time he mouthed a dare. While Mira smiled sheepishly.

"I dare you to tell me the reason behind your silent treatment towards Hailey" she said and I flinched.

Well I want to know his answer. I really wanna know what he'll say. Will he tell them I'm the daughter of a notable killer? Or that....?

Shit I'm hyperventilating....
