38. Just friends?😏

"You look hot!" Jayden whispered with a smirk and blushed.

"Hi" I say to him shyly while letting them in. I introduced my friends to auntie Amanda and Uncle Kcee and they all talked about how well we were coping with school work. They got gifts for baby Alex and I can't be more grateful.

Mum woke up due to the loud laughter and we baked cupcakes. It was so fun that I wished this could be a sleepover. Throughout their stay I had my eyes glued to Jayden even though I tried my best to avoid physical contact with him cos I was so nervous as hell. I felt more at ease with Andriano mostly because I didn't have to stumble on my words.

Time went so fast and they and they had to leave.

"We'll see tomorrow Hailey" they told me as I hugged them all except Jayden of course. I guess I haven't graduated to the level of a bestie to him yet. He smiled at me while I returned the smile and I saw them off.

I was outside watching the sun set while uncle Kene joined me. I flashed him a smile which he mirrored. He called my name so I had to take my attention to him.

"You like him right?" He asked with a teasing smirk and I hide my blush. Like how the hell can he be so sensitive? Just a few minutes and he's figured out already.

"Huh?"  I feigned ignorance and he chuckled.

"You're don't have to hide it from me though. I'm not Amanda" I laughed at the last part. There was no way on earth I'll be having this conversation with aunt Amanda though.

"So it's the hottie you couldn't take your eyes from earlier right?"he teased and i blush.

"It's just a little crush which I'll get over soon" I tell him and he nods his head in a mocking manner earning a chuckle from me.

"Just a little crush and your cheeks are burning red already.

"Stawp!" I whined and he chuckled.

"He's quite a catch and I think he like you"

"That's a lie. He doesn't even do relationships" I tell him trying to mask the slight hurt in my tone.

"Alright then ma'am. Just make sure to know when you need to follow your brain and not just your heart okay?" He tells me and I smile at him while thanking him for the piece of advice.

Where the hell is Mira?

I search the whole cafeteria with my eyes but I still couldn't find her. She's been acting strangely for some time now and the fact that she left for lunch without me is quite disturbing. Just then someone closes my eyes from behind.

"Hey stop please!" I chuckle and the owner of the large hands chuckles.

"Guess who!" He teased and I mentally rolled my eyes. Who wouldn't be able to guess? Even his perfume gave him out.

"Andriano!" I tell him with an excited voice and he removes his hand from my face hanging his arm on my shoulder as we made it to the table I assume they were seating.

"You know we can't eat without you" he tells me and I smile. He's so cool and sweet, literally the sweetest to me in the group.

"Awwwww so sweet of you guys" I smiled and he ranted about how he was the coolest guy in the whole world. Lol! This guy never seizes to amaze me. I notice Mira sitting on the table with Jayden. I'm quite disappointed she didn't even wait for me. We have literally all the periods together and I was still setting up my stuff and then pooff! I couldn't even find her cos she left without me. This is not the first neither is it the second but who do I have to blame? Not like she owes me any explanation though. Maybe something came up, I can't fill me mind with senseless anger towards someone that probably doesn't even realize they hurt me so I let it go.
