28. She slapped me?😠

JAYDEN'S POV

I've been searching for just the perfect opportunity to talk to Hailey since what happened yesterday but I couldn't. I know I've been a jerk lately and I warned her to avoid me, u really never gave her the chance to apologise to me.

Gawd!

There was no way on earth she was going to even listen to me or believe me. My biggest annoyance right now is actually the fact that Drake is all over her, acting the part of the protective boyfriend and loving prince charming. Mtcheew!

Last time I checked they're not dating already or are they? I look at my food that was turning cold. I've been nibbling on it since we came here. Hailey didn't seem to notice cos she was discussing about how her time with Drake went.

She's actually at our table cos Andriano made sure she sat there. He even had the guts to tell me to change my position if I didn't want her around. He didn't say all that in front of her though but I still wasn't happy about the fact that I couldn't help but turn to her direction whenever she laughed at something funny. Her laughter was like music to my ears.

After a while I hear her talking about how she was invited to a birthday party by Drake. She wants her to be there cos it was his cousin's party.
I know everything is seriously not good and I have to warn Hailey about this guy before things get out of hand.

He's messing with her head and obviously playing her but she can't see that because he has brainwashed her into believing that he was her savior and he really cares!

Shit!

I stand up from the table and turn to leave.

"Bro what's up! Where are you going?" Andriano asked and I shrugged.

"You haven't even touched your meal yet" Mira added once her attention was on me. I lost my appetite that's what happened. But there's no way I can tell them that. They'll question me till I loose my breath.

"Nature calls! Besides I'm not hungry. I'll see you guys later!" I say to them, my eyes fixed in Hailey who didn't spare me a glance.

walk through the corridor searching for Hailey. It's dismissal and I know she should be around here. I see her walking towards the school gate and I ran to her. I suddenly remembered we were supposed to work on a physics assignment together. I pray that's enough excuse to stop her from whatever and wherever she has in mind of going with Drake.

I got to her and called her but she hissed and continued walking briskly when she realized it was me. I sped up and caught her arm spinning her around that she almost bumped her head on my chest.

"What the hell is wrong with you!" She flared up.

"Nothing is wrong with me" I say nonchalantly. I know I sound annoying but no matter how hard I try to act nice to her, I just love her pissed off side. It makes her look crazily hot.

I know I sound stupid right now.

"Why did you stop me?" She said after a moment of inhaling and exhaling. Probably trying to call herself down.

"I want us to talk." I deadpanned. She looked at me, surprise lased in her eyes which later turned to amusement and then a glint of anger replaced all.

"Since when did we start talking huh? Last time I checked I've never had a decent conversation with your proud and arrogant self. You told me to avoid you and I'm actually doing that. Why the hell are you pestering me?" She said in an irritated tone and I shrugged.
