34. We're cool now😊

HAILEY'S POV

Jayden has been really nice and cool, I guess he isn't that annoying after all. I remember the story of his brother,I felt bad for him cos I knew exactly how it felt to loose someone you love and care about. My brain couldn't stop reviewing that sentence...

I didn't want to loose you Hailey.

I smiled as I met his gaze. He's been staring at me ever since we started eating and it made me self conscious. My hair is not even properly brushed, no make up..!

Argh! What if he finds me less attractive?

We were in a comfortable silence though and I feel happy around him. I felt so happy when I realized he actually made breakfast for me, that was so thoughtful of him. The meal was good, I love it and I love everything about him.

I really applaud myself for picking up the courage to hug him. It felt so good in his arms, like I belonged there.

I've read in books where people feel butterflies around someone they like but mine was different. I felt birds humming in my stomach. Lol!

"You're really a nice cook" I say to him trying not to sound nervous. He looked up at me with a grin.

"You like it?" He asked.

"Of course I do. It's nice" I replied and he smiled at me.

"I'm glad you like it. By the way you know it's Andriano's birthday today right?" He asked and I nodded. How won't I know when Andy won't stop broadcasting it.

"Yeah. I got him something already" I say to him and he nods.

"He's throwing a small party at his house just for his close friends. You, Mira and I" he said.

"That's cool" I grinned at him. We were done with our food now and I wanted to help clear the dishes but he insisted he was supposed to serve me as a guest.

Today is definitely a day to remember.

I thanked him and went to the room so I can have a change of clothes. Jayden had helped me run them in a washing machine last night and I'm so grateful.

I brush my hair in front of his mirror and checked myself out. No make ups as usual. I'm barely a fan of makeup though except mum forces me to or I'm attending something important. I drag my curly light brown hair. It was really long but the curls just made it stop at my shoulder level when tied up in a bun. It was having more light shades of brown and that was annoying. I wasn't really a brunette though but my hair color was more like a very light shade of brown which looked like it had shades of gold under the sunlight.

Maybe I should die my hair blonde?
I've seen Jayden compliment Mira for her hair. Maybe he's into blondes?

Since when did I start changing my looks to get a guy's attention for goodness sake?!

I packed my hair in puffs and I had two bangs braided at each side of my face. It made me look cute. I match my outfit with Jayden's cardigan while letting the buttons remain open and it actually complimented my outfit quite alright. It's not winter yet and the weather is normal her in New York but I caught a cold yesterday so I have to stick to this cardigan. I inhale the scent and I find myself smiling, it smelt like him.

I pose in front of his full length mirror and take a whole lot of pictures of was going to post on my social media handles.

I look at his room one last time. I hadn't really noticed the neatness earlier, it had so much life and I was just noticing a guitar and saxophone by the side. He plays music?
Cool!
I also spot a dumbbell. No wonder he's got muscles worth drooling over.

I guess it's time to go home.
Jayden and I are definitely ditching classes today. It's past ten already. Wow!

I immediately text my mum and tell her I'm okay. She probably thinks I'm in school already cause I'm quite sure she should be back home. Well I'll explain things to her better when I see her.

I rush downstairs admire every single painting I saw on the walls of the stairs till I bumped into someone.

"I'm so sorry!" I apologized and he flashed me a smile.

"My cardigan looks way better on you" he compliments and I blush.

"Really?" I grinned and he nodded with a smile.

"Thanks!".

I walk past him and I feel his eyes on me. I had no other option than to sway my hips more, he needs to see me as sexy!!!

I heard a knock on the door and Jayden looked at me.

"I'll check the door" he tells me. He opened the door which revealed a beautiful looking Mira. What's she doing here?

She's best friends with Jayden silly!

Well I missed her though.

I flashed her a smile which she didn't return.
Her face looked puzzled as if wondering why I'm here.

I Know it's surprising though because Jayden and I never got along.

"What's going on here?" She asked in a cold voice laced with irritation even before I could say hi!

What was wrong and why was she so angry at just seeing me here?

Do u guys think Mira is giving an attitude because Hailey was in Jayden's place or was she just in a sour mood?
