Beneath the gentle warmth of the mid morning sun, Jungkook squinted his eyes as he observed Jin pacing back and forth frantically near the roadside where they had parked Jin's car . Jin was deeply engrossed in a phone call with his brother, who called into check on him before his " trip " with his baby daddy.

"Yeah!! It's okay, Tae... he is with me!! I'll do just fine. Yes, I have all my medications... I'll be back in 2 days...?!" Jin looked at Jungkook, seeking confirmation.

Jungkook nodded in approval. Other than diving into the trip, Jin didn't know much about anything, and Jungkook, obviously, refused to share any details as he was planning a surprise. Jin was confused about what kind of clothes to pack, leading to an early morning argument between the duo about overpacking ,as Jin packed all kinds of options just in case. In the end, he had to compromise and reduce his luggage by more than half which made Jin sulk for a bit but he soon forgot about it as soon as Jung kook brought him a second breakfast.

"Yeah, 2 days... handle mom and dad," Jin said, sighing. "Please, tell Namjoon I'm on a business emergency trip... or anything. I told him everything is put on hold...but I didn't tell why!! I also informed the newspapers, blogs, and everything about not publishing the news. I need to wrap my head around all this before i do anything.."Jin added as he joined Jungkook, who was leaning onto the car, waiting him.

Jin ended the call  soon and kept his phone back in his shorts pocket. "You still didn't tell me where you are taking me Kook!!. Jimin is worried, and mom and dad are frantically searching for me, along with Namjoon. I guess it won't be long before they track our phones and send a private investigator or their people "

Jungkook's eyes widened. "They will do that?"

Jin broke into a chuckle, seeing Jungkook's big eyes, which always seemed to widen when he was excited, angry, or listening intently ..something Jin loved very much..he thought it held a child like innocence despite his rough and tough persona he shows outside. " If you think she won't, then you don't know Kim Jiwon. Also, I don't know how far Namjoon can go, so possibly..." he shrugged answering Jungkook's question

"Wow!! Ok... thanks for scaring me," Jungkook said, shifting uncomfortably.

Jin creased his brows and looked at Jungkook, teasingly, "Scared! I thought you would protect me and stuff. You were so into it when you were talking to my dad!"

"I'm just one person, Jin. That was just your dad, and he was going to hit you... but if your family or fiancé is sending an army to take you back, I'm no superhero..I might fail, remember!!"

Jin pouted and looked at Jungkook. "Why are you like this? Huh?! Can't you just say you will save me... at least just for the effect!! Do you always have to be practical?!" He said, huffing in annoyance

Jungkook sighed and looked at the pouty face, his heart fluttering at the adorable sight. He smiled and snaked his arm around Jin's waist. "Okay, princess... I'll save you. I will fight all the villains and rescue you!! Happy!!" He asked, teasingly.

Jin's lips curved into a big smile as he embraced Jungkook, who reciprocated it with a smile of his own. Jin had been revealing his more affectionate and playful side ever since they grew closer, and Jungkook couldn't deny that he enjoyed it. Despite being older than him there was still a charming innocence to Jin that Jungkook found endearing.He often wondered if he had been the same with his previous boyfriends ..especially with Yoongi who he spoke really highly of.

"Now, spill the beans. Where are you taking me?" Jin asked with big eyes, breaking Jungkook's thoughts

"I'm not falling for those eyes... If I spill the secret, it won't be a surprise!!" Jungkook replied with a playful smirk.
